I have travelled extensively for pleasure and for business. Many destinations in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia. I prefer Self catering if the trip is a holiday and involves more than a few days. However I do appreciate quality hotel accommodation, and if it be for business, the elements I require are, spacious room, Internet connection, prompt room cleaning service, and adequate breakfast. A plus is convenient transport from the hotel to appointments and to the airport. Rustic is fine for holidays, so apart from WIFI, the other mod cons not important, but cleanliness is tantamount. I am in the seniors age group and therefore intolerant of screeching kids. Love travel by car within Europe.
