On arrival in the early hours gumbet cove Bar street was very lively with extremely loud music. We were therefore relieved to turn into a quieter area at the end of the street. Check in was very easy and quick. The hotel was really lovely and the rooms, although basic, were nice and were cleaned every 2 days. The pool area was immaculate and there is a private beach with free sunbeds. The hotel next door played loud music on the beach but you soon get used to it. The staff were helpful, although only Tony spoke good English. He was running around looking after everyone and was the only one who could communicate with most of the guests. We were b & b and the breakfasts were nice, if not a little limited. We did eat there at night a couple of times and the food was good. Although not keen on the resort, the hotel was really nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely staff,especially Tony,couldn't do enough for us,hotel very clean ,only thing I would change would be that the eating/entertainment area facing the beach was concealed and it was so lovely on a night,there were no signs to say it was there,could do so much more there,it would be a little goldmine,I would definitely go back.manager was a little miserable,aircon hit and miss but a lovely chap came to sort it.

The hotel overall was amazing and the most relaxing place we stayed. Unfortunately there are some negatives thst didn't spoil our holiday in any way but still worth mentioning. Positives Location-close to everything but still lovely and quiet. Maid service was amazing and they did such a good job of cleaning quite a dated room. Air con- best aircon I have ever had although is just in the bedroom but if you leave door open does get through to main room. Pool- relaxing isn't the word, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves and no sunbed wars. The beach-although very small it was very clean and underfoot great in the sea compared to further on. The bar and staff- Tony is amazing and waits on you hand and foot, the girls at the bar also lovely. The young boys also lovely. Good choice of drinks and the white wine is lovely. For drinks we paid by the day and was always accurate if you forgot you could pay at reception and you do get a breakdown that way so you can check it's correct. The grounds- beautiful and quiet, so much room to walk around and the views are amazing. Shopping- before I went I was worried about the pushiness of owners but the majority were fine. Oscars is the place to go such a lovely man with no hassle but he will still do a very good deal. Negatives Basic room- the apartment I had was basic and in need of refurbishing the bathroom was very dated and the water pressure a nightmare in the shower. We were in a group and the other apartments were more modern so think we were just unlucky. Our balcony looked onto the car park but it actually worked quite well as was nice and cool and the car park was quiet so not a major issue. We were self catering so had a mini kitchen if you go bed and breakfast you don't get a kitchen and in my opinion the breakfast isn't worth not having an apartment. Pool bar prices- more expensive than other places we went. Theme nights were also expensive and very quiet although lovely food. Overall not many Negatives and deffo the positives out way the Negatives. I would stay there again however I didn't like gumbet I found it to be quite seedy and dirty although a really friendly place some good restaurants but very much the same menus. Hollywood lounge- loved this place went a lot and was so friendly and great with kids Casablanca- amazing steak and lovely staff Windy bay- my fave place for an early tea and swim the steaks are amazing Shanghai- not sure why there's so much hype about this place as we were dissapointed and food was very basic Alfie moons- again a lot of hype but just not my kind of place. Nagi beach- we visited here a few times and food and service was really good. We went once during the day and used the pool and was a lovely place although very close to the awful loud beach bars so not sure I would ever stay there. Tropicana Hotel- family members were there so we went for the day. Lovely hotel a lot busier that gumbet cove but more atmosphere. Its right at the other end and lots of bars and restaurants there' but didn't venture to as it was too hot to walk around at times. The beach atTropicana is the worst bit of beach as very dirty and the see cloudy.
Day trips Bitez- beautiful the beach is stunning and the villiage is really nice. Million times nicer than gumbet and same prices. Bodrum- lovely town however shopping was stressful found it very pushy compared to gumbet.
Loved the holiday and won't say I wouldn't go back as we had an amazing holiday but I would probably try stay in bitez as gumbet was just not my ideal place.

We had a really good week staying here. The room was fairly standard but very clean. All the staff were superb and friendly. They seemed genuinely pleased to help you. The pool and the grounds overlooking the beach were lovely. The hotel had free sunbeds and loungers on the beach just a few feet away. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Very nice but basic hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the only issue was the shower which was either boiling hot or freezing cold and had a very erratic spray. The pool was very nice but there was quite a few ants around the pool and on the loungers. The food at the restaurant was amazing and there was a good range of food. The breakfast was very nice too. The staff were very very friendly and very helpful
