Pas terug van een weekje vakantie in Desert Rose Resort en het was een geweldige ervaring. Supermooie grote kamer, goed wifibereik, ruime ligplaatsen op het strand, mooie en gezellige bars, het eten was lekker maar zou misschien iets meer gevarieerd mogen zijn, dat is het enige minpuntje dat misschien kan gezegd worden. Heel vriendelijk personeel, zeker ook Ahmoud aan de receptie. Kortom het was een onvergetelijke vakantie en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ok people, this is my second stay at this hotel, and certainly not my last. Really, Desert Rose Resort is perfect place for vacation, its beautiful place, clean, spacious resost with a lot of green gardens, various contents for a pleasant stay. As first time, 2020. like now, my opinion about this resort is veri high. Roms are very comfortable, clean. Main restaurant is a huge place with varios food for everyone taste. Beac is perfect too, clean, beach bars, too are nices places... Service stuf are the most honest in all nine resorts wich i visited in Hurghada for all this years. Now you are wondering why i give a bad rating to this resort if is all perfect? It is. But, last day of my vacation i hade one problem on the beach with some rudness guests, who are took my sunbed and sunshadow when i was on swiming. When i get out, they continued to harass me and my wife by refusing to move a decent distance from us. It was five people family. I caled menager of beach bar to call security , they come but they didnt help me, or they didnt want to. Later , we have verbal conflict , it was realy upset situacion, then one of guest realtionship member come to make a deal with us ,but she was rude and unprofesional , she did not respect us as guest, nor did she want to hear what really happened there, sorry but for me is not normal that someone touch and mouve my things on the beach without asking. I really respect all pepole and nationality and a never hade some problems abot that. Trehe was simple example of improper behavior. Im very sorry becaouse stuf was nonprofesional , and they didnt want to slove the problem.
On the other side, stuf who works on beach as waiter, and other stuf in whole resort are very honest ,frendly, and plasant.
Whatever, i will visti this resort again, because its realy beautiful place.
Onlly because this incident with stuf i give a poor grade as reminder that guests must be respected regradless of their natoionaliti and where they come from, and how long they stay.

We are a family (2 adults, 3 children), we spent a week here from Aug. 19 - Aug. 25. 2024. We were accommodated in two apartments in block 5000. We chose the hotel based on the reviews, but the reality was much better. The location of the hotel is ideal, the airport in Hurghada is very close, shopping opportunities are in front of the hotel and the large shopping center Senzo Mall is about 3 km away (about 1/2 hour on foot). What didn't happen to us is that the hotel hired an employee who took care of the safe crossing of the two-lane main road - you have to cross this road to the shops. We appreciate this very much, because the drivers here are very wild.
The area of the hotel itself is large, everything is orderly and especially, which is unusual for Egypt, the sellers of tours/services do not bother people. Just tell them once that you are not interested and they will not question you anymore. Another unusual thing was that they literally don't ask for tips, it seemed to me as if they were forbidden to do so. This was not our first visit to Egypt, so we can compare the quality of services and food.
There are freshwater pools, one large for swimming (depth 180 cm), then 2 for children, one with slides and one with a bar and a pool into which large slides are raised. The semi-circular bay with sea water is very nicely designed, where the waves are not so strong, so it is also ideal for small children. At the end of this bay there is also a bar and behind it is the open sea, with everything that the sea has to offer, e.g. stronger waves. The area also has a children's playground with climbing frames, swings, and a children's club. Beautifully maintained lawns and palm trees everywhere, which are constantly taken care of by the employees. During our vacation, e.g. they planted two new palm trees.
The resort offers all-day dining. It can be said that you have the opportunity to find something to eat all day. The food is varied, every day with a different theme, e.g. Egypt, Mexico, etc. Grilled, baked, boiled meat, a large number of vegetables and pastries are available. What seemed unusual to us was that drinks (alcoholic, non-alcoholic, coffee, tea) were ordered during the meal and the waiters brought them to your table - we have never encountered such a service. Even during the day, in the bars and at the reception, bartenders prepared drinks, self-service was only water stands (sparkling / non-sparkling). In general, the staff is very decent, polite even though they have a lot of work to do. A big thank you goes to the team of waiters in the room where we ate, we would especially like to thank the waiter Mohamed Rashad, who was probably the nicest of them all.
The entire area is kept very clean, and this applies especially to the rooms. They are washed and cleaned every day, bottles of water, chips and Cola in the fridge are refilled - all for free. Ibrahim Youssif took care of our rooms - to whom we also owe a lot of thanks, especially for his creative work with towels (elephant, crocodile, swan, giraffe, etc.), which our youngest daughter (4 years old) really liked. Also the daily security-guy was very polite.
The only negative experience that happened to us was our daughter's injury, on the very first day, in the afternoon. She slipped into the water in the children's pool, there was no lifeguard, so I made sure she could slip into the water safely so she wouldn't hurt someone. Only a child climbed up the slide and our daughter wanted to let her go, she flew over the steps and fell from about 2 m high. She had bruises on her head, abrasions, and after being examined by the hotel doctor and then in the hospital, she was diagnosed with a broken collarbone. After an incredible 5 hours in the hospital, we went back to the resort, where our vacation continued, although not so happily. My daughter didn't enjoy the vacation very much because she couldn't swim with her hand and couldn't slide. She is still treating the consequences of her injury at home. Overall, we can only praise this resort, we recommend it to everyone who wants to spend a pleasant and carefree vacation.

I stayed in a club suite and the hotel was lovely with excellent food, However the only issue was the poor treatment from the reception staff particularly a person named Mohamed Abdelslam. He was quite unwelcoming and doesn’t seem fit for an establishment like this. I hope things will be better next time.

Absolutely love this hotel, On this visit I chose to go Ultra All Inclusive and even though I don't drink alcohol it was lovely to be able to eat at the speciality restaurants whenever I chose to. Breakfast each morning at Del Mar (Seafood restaurant) looking out over the beautiful Red Sea. Lunch at El Rancho (Mexican) with a great choice of meals. The Palm has a massive choice of food and the desserts are to die for so no one need go hungry. The Sunset bar and Club Soda staff are so friendly and always had my Sprite ready when they saw me walking towards the bar. The shows are so professional and very worthy of a West End performance. My room in block 6000 was kept immaculate by the housekeeping team and constantly restock the fridge with drinks chocolate, crisps (UAI). The staff really are a credit to this hotel and far too many to mention them all but would like to say a special Thankyou to Adel Hassan and Mohamed Gaber and an extra special Thanks to Niki for been such a great friend during my stay. Book this hotel for your next holiday. I promise you won't regret it.
