Where India meets Bangladesh. Around 15-20 mins from new jalpaiguri railway station. Google it as Indian Immigration Check Post, Fulbari. Not many people are aware of it, mind you. We had to ask many people about it to catch a car/auto. A must visit if you are halting for 1 day before going further in the itinerary. We wanted to see the joint retreat ceremony between India and Bangladesh, mind you it occurs only on TUESDAY and SATURDAY. Not much to explore as its just the border and you cannot cross the line in the road.

Panchgarh the North West district of Peoples republic of Bangladesh. Due to five garh as Vitorgarh, Mirgarh, Rajengarh,Debengarh & Hossengarh it was named panchgarh, that means five Garh. It's location is in north India’s Darjeling & Jalpaiguri, In south Thakurgao & Dinajpur, in west India’s north Dinajpur.
Recently, Panchgarh becomes one of the most popular tourist place due to its wonderful natural beauty as well as historical & geological heritage like Banglabandha Zero point, Moharajar dighi, vitorgarh, mirgarh, Rocks meauseum Golokdham temple, Mirzapur shahi masjid, Tetulia Dakbanlow & etc.
How to go:
There are various ways to go northern city of Bangladesh from Dhaka the capital of Bangladesh. That’s are by bus, by train & by air. You can reach the bus from kallayanpur as well as Gabtoli bus terminal at the morning and night coach & reach train Kamalapur Railway station the largest railway station of Bangladesh At morning named Nil Sagar, Akota, at night Drutajan and Panchagarh express etc. You also go by air Dhaka airport to Sayedpur airport then by intercity bus or private car you may reached at panchagarh.
Where you stay:
Despite, Panchgarh is a small town and there are no luxury hotel in panchagarh but Kazi & Kazi has some luxury coutage, and tetulia dakbanglow are comfortable to stay at night.
Where you eat:
Panchgarh has some restaurant like Nirob 1 & Nrob -2. & Tetulia has some local restaurants where you can take your lunch & dinner. The menus are mouthwatering.
Finally, you are most welcome to northwest district panchagarh to delight your holydays & enjoy the natural beauty of Bangladesh.

Most tourists are aware that a retreat ceremony is held at Attari-Wagah border but are not aware that a similar but less popular one is held here also.Can be easily witnessed any evening when in Siliguri.

Banglabandha is also a land port between Bangladesh with its counterpart Fulbari in India. It was a interesting experience to be there at last.
We could not attend the daily day-ending ceremony by the border guarding forces of two countries. It has indeed been a tourist attraction for the people visiting Panchagarh district or its Tetulia Sub-district.

The flag lowering ceremony at the India–Pakistan (Wagah-Attari) international border near Wagah attracts large number of tourists every day. In a similar vein, the Border Security Force and the Border Guards Bangladesh together have commenced the historic Joint Retreat Ceremony on the India-Bangladesh border in Banglabandha (Banglabandh) - Fulbari (Phulbari) on 27th April 2018. However, the daily routine here is not held in their ceremonial uniform. The registration for the public entry begins at 4.30 pm and the visitors are permitted to enter and occupy the gallery ten minutes before the start of the ceremony, which is at 5.00 pm. After establishing our identities using a valid Photo ID, token signed by the Company Commandant is issued to each group. The Company Commandant on learning about my identity, enthusiastically welcomed and explained the proposals of improvements to attract more tourists and expansion of the gallery to accommodate a few thousand people, food court and car parking lot to park about 2500 vehicles.
Banglabandha is a major inland port in Northern Bangladesh, established to provide a trade link between India, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The center of the trade link, where the borders meet is the ‘Banglabandha Zero Point’, commercialized heavily by the Bangladesh Government to benefit from the exports and imports. The three nations are separated by 52 Km of Indian territory, known as the Siliguri Corridor. The center is located at about 12 Km from Siliguri Junction and about 470 Km from Dhaka, while Darjeeling is about 75 Km, via Matigara - Kurseong Road.
