Been in Tanzania for a few weeks, and this is for sure one of my best things i did during the trip.
He was nice, knowledgable and very activly tryn to involve us.
Felt like walkin through the garden i always wanted to have, time just flew by, 100% worth the time!

Bilal was the nicest guy and took a lot of time to walk through the farm with us, showed us all the different plants, fruits and spices. He really knew and explained a lot and answered every question. Then we had lunch in the garden of his little house, he prepared everything for us and it was all very delicious. You can buy all spices for a reasonable price, also the whole tour was not very expensive and worth every dollar. Highly recommend this tour, it was one of the nicest ones we did during our 3 month stay in tanzania

We had an amazing time visiting the Kisongoni spice farm.
Not only did Bilal teach us a lot about the way spices are grown, processed and used but also knowledge about other local plants, herbal medicine and cosmetical use.
The farm shows a lovely traditional way of producing spices - not like a big factory.
Fuerhermore Bilal organised a transport from and to stonetown for us and cooked a very delicious meal for lunch (vegetarian upon our request).

This was one of our favorite experiences when in Zanzibar. Ibrahim is the man. Really charismatic and an excellent guide. Incredible knowledge of spices, fruits, local culture, etc. We were able to see, touch, smell, and/or taste many spices and this farm really did have every spice you can imagine. At the end, Ibrahim sliced fresh fruit--pineapple, mango, among others. There were also several well packaged spices to buy. I strongly recommend you visit this place when in Zanzibar -- go and ask for Ibrahim, he will show you a great time.

The entrance to the farm was not easy to find and could only be managed because we had a rental car (off-road vehicle) with 4-wheel drive.
We were shown a lot of plant species with detailed explanations and there was always something freshly picked to try.
The only negative thing was that there was rubbish everywhere. It would be nice if that changed

In almost 3 hours, Bilal presented us with an incredible selection of fruits and spices. A feast for the palate and the eyes :-)

We stopped by at this Spice Farm on our way to Nungwi and it was really worth the 2 hour stop. Great experience if you would like to see how spices such as cinnamon, cardamon or vanilla are grown and try some tropical fruits. Our host and guide Bilal was very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable, not only about farming but also about Zanzibar history for example. We got to taste some of the best mangoes, jackfruits, pineaples and more and were treated with some handmade hats and headbands decorated with hibiscus flowers. You can buy variety of spices there too. Great experience, highly recommend!

Intressant rundtur i kryddornas värld, enkelt och genuint. Tog ganska lång tid, ca 2,5 timme totalt. Vi tog egen taxi dit, och fick en separat guidning. Efter rundturen visade de hur man klättrar upp i en kokospalm, imponerande! Vi fick därefter en fruktstund, lite banan, vattenmelon, jackfruit. Sedan handlade vi kryddor, det fanns mycket som vi ville ha. Man betalar med dollar.
Toaletten var inte så rolig, ett hål i marken inuti en hydda.
Vi fick presenter i form av flätad hatt och krona m m.
