We pre-booked tickets and picked up the bus from outside the Mammoth Mountain Inn hotel around 6.45am. Both journeys of the bus were on time, we were driven on both journeys by Jacob + Tiger ,excellent friendly and knowledgeable drivers which was great. The journey of around 4hrs flew by and we had several hours wandering around the Park.

need a ride to yosemite from merced or fresno, yarts is the way to go. great busses, friendly staff, best way to travel! multi trips per day, rain shine or snow , they get you there.

Friendly service, reliable, comfy and easy. We parked at the Oakhurst Best Western - just speak to a member of staff and they give you a slip for your dashboard. We picked up the bus from across the road and it was an easy and what felt like quite a quick journey.
The roads to Yosemite valley are quite windy and sheer drops which we didn’t feel comfortable driving and additionally the bus meant we could have a sleep on the way and back!
Would reccomend to anyone. Both drivers were so friendly and kind and made our day that much more enjoyable.

Perfect on time, Michelle gave us a very warm welcome. Safe and secure from the beginning. She had an amazing knowledge about the complete Yosemite area and beyond. Very secure and great driving with a lot of humour. I am still stunned how easy and with the utmost skills she drove the 43 by 11,7 feet buss through the narrow roads and steep hills of Yosemite!
Today was a sunny Saturday and actually far to crowded to visit this iconic place. Thanks to Michelle, me, my wife and our 3 kids had a great time and came back safe and sound with amazing pictures.

I have a fear of driving cliffy roads so decided to try out a bus system to get to Yosemite. I took the kids on a day trip to try it out and it was awesome. Especially in the winter - no need to worry about chains or driving in bad weather. Our driver was amazing, very kind and answered everyones questions. The bus was heated, had a bathroom and it provided me rest after a long day of exploring, before having to get back into my car and drive a couple hours home. Also, there are free shuttles once you get into the parks so you're not stranded without a car! Highly recommend. Kids loved it, and now I want to check out other destinations that YARTS drives.

My mother took the bus from Mariposa to Merced this last Saturday (1/21/23). Everything went fine with her trip that morning when she boarded in Mariposa and got off at the Merced Amtrack Station a short while later. What earned the 1-star review? Well, they decided to cancel the return bus that was on their daily schedule (Run 140-15) which effectively left her stranded in Merced. This scheduled bus was supposed to leave the Merced Amtrack Station at 5:50pm, and arrive in Mariposa at 6:35pm. Unfortunately, Yarts provided no notification that they were going to cancel this return trip back to Mariposa. Nothing was mentioned by their morning driver, no signage was posted, nothing noted on their website...nothing! This resulted in my having to drive 2-1/2 hours to pick her up, with a 1 hour drive to get her home, followed by another 3 1/2 hour drive to get myself back home. So, why was the bus cancelled without any notification? To leave any customer stranded like that is simply terrible customer service.

The YARTS leaves a lot to be desired. For our outbound our Amtrak train was late and the YARTS, unlike every other bus connection, does not wait for the train to arrive at Merced - the driver left 5 minutes before the train arrived, leaving nearly 20 people stranded for 6hrs at Merced until the next bus. A YARTS coming the opposite direction rang the office to see if there's anything they would do: nothing; told us to wait around. We shared an Uber with other stranded passengers, cost the same as YARTS.
Our return journey set out on time but took 2.5hrs to get back to Merced. An Uber takes 90mins. I wouldn't use the YARTS service again.

The bus driver's driving was hectic to say the least. Was going about 45 on average throught the twists and turns through the valley. Tailing cars and making it unsafe to access the bathrooms located on the bus. Not to mention he forgot to give us our vouchers for the round trip we paid for once boarding the bus and then had the audacity to scold us for asking a different bus driver about reboarding the bus at our departure time.

Our bus got to Yosemite Village more than 2h later, we waited for more than one hour without any information and the office didn’t pick the phone. Because of that we couldn’t do the hike we wanted and of course spend 2h less in the park.

I cant tell you how much we enjoyed the ride to Yosemite. The busses ran on time and allowed us to enjoy the ride without the stress or hassle. The ease of the pickup at our resort was amazing. Even if we didn't stay at the resort, going and parking at another resort and catching the bus is just as easy. I think this was a better option than driving ourselves. The cost was reasonable and it allows you to book one way or round trip . Once you get to the valley you just ride the busses around anyway for ease. Cant wait to go back

we will take the grand tour from Yosemite Valley Lodge at 8:45 on saturday. we will be staying in Yosemite lodge at el portal.
is it advisable to take yarts that leave at 7: 20 and arrive at 8:02 or that will be risky because of the traffic might be unpredictable.
Do you provide infant car seating

I can't imagine they do. I didn't see any when I used it. Your best bet is to phone them and ask.

Is there many routes into yosimite national park and to sequoia national park?
does yarts have a pickup and departure chart and times of year it operates?

Hi - trying to figure out if we were to take the YARTS into an area near the Yosemite Valley Lodge, if we could reasonably expect to see some highlights of the park using the park shuttle service? I see that Glacier Point is only available through a paid bus service from that area, but it looks like the shuttle may hit some other points of interest. We will have access to a car, but would prefer not to clog up the roads. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

The YART only pops you into the park, but you do see Sentinel Rock. Once inside the park shuttle is free, and takes youto all reasonable points. See map on yosemite site

Is there an afternoon bus from Tuolumne to Yosemite valley? friends are hiking out and rather not take th 10:15 am. The online tickets show only the 10:15am

Actually that is when buses arrive, of those only th 10:15 continues to the valley. I ended up to phone them. But thank you anyway.

Hello - can you please confirm that there is a limited shuttle to the park from September 6th?
It seems to arrive about 11 am and depart around 4.30?

Hello - we are camping at Yosemite Lakes and totally dependant on public transport to get in and then around.
It seems there is only one bus in a day arriving about 11am and departing about 4.30 - Is this your experience? Was this enough time in the park?
Any tips on things to do once in? As time is somewhat limited?

Once you get into the park there is shuttle bus service from the visitor center that will take you around the park. However, I don't know about attempting any long hikes like the mist trail

They were just checking to see if the fare was paid. so in your case best to purchase it beforehand so they just show the paperwork
