Wonderful guide/driver, Voltimor. Showed us places other tours would never be able to get to. Used them twice in 2 different ports in east Iceland.

We had planned an excursion in Seyðisfjörður with Tinna along with Iceland Travel Guide. Unfortunately the Captain of our cruise ship cancelled the port visit the night before due to weather and the inability to then tender ashore. Within seconds of knowing this, I emailed both companies to make them aware. This was completely out of our control, and we were sad to miss the port and excursion.
However when asking for a refund through Iceland Travel Guide, they and Tinna only offered us a 50% refund. This was a large expense , over $500+ that was lost. Although I'm sure they are a great company, I would not use them again or book the excursion through the cruise for fear of a similar circumstance.

We are very sorry for your trouble and understand your position. Despite our policy of no refunds for cancelations made less than 48 hours in advance (clearly stated on our website, although I wonder if resellers show the terms), we offered a 50% refund.
We offer a partial refund because we understand this is not your fault. However, since we don't have any control over the captains' decisions (as their confidence level and choices vary significantly) and still have to pay our guides when cancelations come with such short notice, our expenses are largely already accounted for.
The exception to this, where we provide a full refund, is if we need to cancel the tour. When it comes to weather, we will do so when the Icelandic meteorology office issues a warning or if we deem the conditions unsafe.

We went on the Mindfulness Hiking Yoga in Breiðdalsvík tour. We are used to Iceland and self drive around sites so we wanted something a bit different. It was wonderful. We were taken to a beach we couldn’t have got to otherwise and our guide was local with stories dating back years. Just stopping and experiencing the peace and beauty was an amazing feeling. You don’t have to be silent for the whole day. Just the yoga bit and after that we chatted freely. We were even offered coffee and biscuits in a locals house (I imagine that isn’t guaranteed). Altogether a special experience which not many people do but well worth it and very special.

The reindeer safari was so exceptional & different from other wildlife tours. Our guide was so amazing & we saw so many herds of reindeer as well as a secret waterfall.

While we did not do one of the excursions provided by Tinna Adventure, we were lucky enough to have Helga as a guide on our Ice Cave Super Jeep tour in Jökulsárlón. She was very knowledgeable and taught us about Icelandic wildlife, nature and history, answering any questions we could think of! We would definitely book a trip with her again.

We went on the reindeer safari with Helga a few days ago and it was fantastic. Helga picked us up in her "Super jeep " and took us on a tour of some of the Fjords in East Iceland looking for reindeer. Even just as a tour of some of the roads and mountain passes off the ring road it would have been excellent. Helga is a local and shared her knowledge of reindeer, iceland , sheep! Volcanoes and the East Fjords, even pointing out where her mother grew up. She was happy to answer all our questions, including ones on life in general as an Icelander
We covered a fair amount of ground before seeing a small group of 3 or 4 reindeer and then a herd of around 30.
Would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with an interest in reindeer or a curiosity of where some of those roads and tracks lead to.

We booked Tinna adventure on Sept 23 for our shore excursion in Seydisfjordur. Our guide Helna lived in this area and know the place so much. We learned so many things about the culture and history of Iceland. The itinerary is also wonderful, and the scenery of East iceland landscape is stunning. The car was comfortable too. Highly recommend to join this when you want to explore East iceland either on cruise or from land.

Helga was a fantastic guide, extremely knowledgeable and the scenery was spectacular. 100% worth a visit. Love the Land Cruiser too.

I went on the Streti Coastline Jeep tour with Helga and it was amazing! She was so knowledgeable, passionate about her home, and just lovely to be around. The places we saw were absolutely gorgeous. I would recommend this tour and tour company to anyone looking to explore East Iceland.

Great experience; Krebna looked after us really well. We saw countryside in East Iceland we would never have got to see, and being among nature and seeing such beautiful reindeer was truly unforgettable.
