It is amazing and well presented history of the newly arrived immigrants during early 20th century who settled in Griffith and started new lives. It depicts their life styles and the hardships they went through. Highly recommended to visit and spend few hours.

A very extensive museum that gives a complete run down of local history. Well organised with exceptional displays and restored buildings. Allow at least 2 hours, a lot of detail and area to cover.

We arrived at 2.40pm with a closing time of 4pm. The volunteers are an asset and the lovely woman told us the must see attractions in our limited time, being the Italian pavilion, the wine making and then the adorable knitters cottage which for me was the highlight, and I'm not a knitter. It's the pale pink cottage so make sure you go in.
We were the only visitors that afternoon and all the doors to all the cottages were closed, and when we went in the room smelt dusty. Part of the authenticity of the settlement I guess, but we enjoyed the experience.

What a great place, unfortunate for the park there were only 8 people for the afternoon.
Definitely need a few hours 3-4 if you want to take the time and read the abundance of information
A lot of work has been put into the place. If you want to know the history of the area this is the place to go

We were surprised how extensive the Pioneer Park is. So much varied history of Griffith and the surrounding area. Well set out and well maintained. Could have spent much more time there. So interesting and so much background to see. Italian influence, wine making history. Just so good

Great big open area museum. With buildings that were relocated from there old places. I like the hospital, the tango bar and the Italy centre the best. But with the Italy centre the green writing in the centre is hard too read on white background.

We spent an enjoyable couple of hours exploring this large gathering of local Griffith buildings, and their associated histories. A huge range of exhibits in total, set in a pleasant treed park, with grassy areas under trees which would be great for picnics and BBQs. Very reasonable entry fee. A couple of special collections were excellent, especially the Italian pioneer building, with some very interesting items on display.
The displays made you aware of how tough ir would have been for the original pioneers in this district.

Great selection of history
The area was huge. It had a fantastic collection of historical buildings. Each building had a particular theme you could browse in a general store, see the original hospital eats equipment, walk through the original post office. All of the buildings he had been how to restore or maintain in their original condition the center is well spread out and takes a full day to see all of the buildings and all the exhibits.

A great place to spend a couple of hours and learn of the Italian history of how Griffith was settled. The work completed on all the buildings was really well done. The volunteers were delightful and knowledgeable.

We planned to spend an hour but two hours later we are still enjoying what was on show. Shame the hospital was under repair.
