Beautiful park with lots of amenities and recreational opportunities. Cabin was very comfortable - had Direct TV! Restaurant across the highway from the camping area.

We stayed at the lodge with friends. It’s a beautiful place in the room was nice. Bed was comfy, AC was nice and cold, just really nice room. But - This place seriously needs new management though. There were six girls behind the counter, and only one person had a computer to check everyone in, it took forever. Coffee seems to be an issue here as they never have any even though they’re supposed to provide it for your room and the Keurig maker. Even in the lobby the complementary coffee is never full. Seriously lacking hospitality here. The grounds need attending. The grass and weeds were 8 to 10 inches high right outside of our door, the walkways were covered in Pineneedles and gravel, and needed to be swept and cleaned. Like I said, it just needs a makeover in management because people aren’t doing their jobs. Nothing here to eat, you have to go to the restaurant in the park, which is seriously lacking in staff and seriously overpriced. One last thing about the lodge, you better not need anything past 8 PM because they lock it up and go home.

One of the best parks we’ve ever been to. Beautiful area with amazing history. It’s not your average park. The outlaw history makes it a unique experience.

Only decaf coffee pods in our suite. Went to the front desk to request some regular coffee, we were told, "we have been out for 2 weeks. We don't have any". That is unacceptable. Anybody on this Earth can order coffee from Amazon, etc. and have it within 3 days. Or, you can trot your happy rear down to the local grocery store and buy some. We expect to be able to have coffee in our room in the morning (there's no restaurant onsite). That's part of what we are paying for. Not supplying coffee should be discounted from the price of the room. Come on people let's have a little customer service!

Depending on your purpose for your visit, this is a beautiful park. The rooms were very nice and clean. The beach area is very nice.
We went with our children, so here are the cons for us:
1. swimming passes. No where on the website does it state we will only receive one swimming pass (per person) for our entire stay. If we want to go again, we have to pay $5 per person to go. We were there for a few days, so my kids naturally would want to swim more than once. My aunt stayed in the RV area, and she was told she couldn't receive swimming passes or even pay to swim in the pool. Again, no where does it state that. It shows swimming as an activity.
2. swimming pool at max capacity. We went on a Saturday afternoon to swim, and we were told we couldn't get in because there was no lifeguard on duty, and they were at capacity. Our family has visited multiple state parks, and we have never been turned away due to capacity. Also, why does there need to be a lifeguard? The other OK state parks we have visited do not have life guards. So, our kids didn't even get to swim.
3. availability of golf carts. Again, it is listed on the website we can rent a golf cart. At check in, we were told they were all sold out. We asked if we could reserve one for the next day, and we were told we could not but to arrive by 8am the next day to rent one. We did that. Still none available to rent. If you only have five golf carts to rent for as many cabins/guests that are allowed, why even advertise it on your website?

Pros:
1. clean rooms but did have to ask for linens for the pullout bed
2. playground area is nice and well maintained.
3. the manager was not at all friendly at check in (frankly, she was very rude), but the other staff was very nice and friendly.

This place was amazing. We took the hike which took us about an hour. The views were amazing.
The whole family enjoy it! They also had an area to get in the lake, and had a small gift shop.

We went tent camping here twice as a group with about 12 girls and some accompanying adults with the purpose of bouldering, some rock climbing as well as a long hike along the ridge. We had a great time and everyone loved it!

The first time (2022), we stayed at Bobcat campground which is a far bit away from the other areas. Pick your campground well, there is plenty of information on the website about each one. Not all of them have showers, I believe. The second time around, we stayed at the Equestrian Campground which was generally prettier than Bobcat (which lies kind of in the woody area). It has a playground and our 12-18 year- olds played like little kids, so sweet. There was also a covered community area and a couple of OUTLETS which overjoyed everyone with a cellphone.

Reservations had to be done by phone to get a group discount for nonprofits. They were somewhat bit hard to get a hold of, but nothing that triple phone calls couldn't resolve. It is REALLY important that you give them all the car license plates (done first via phone and then via email/automated system), or you WILL be fined without them having license plate in the system. Even if you are just staying for the day to visit the cave.

Robber's Cave itself of course is awesome, bouldering was scary (since I was responsible for the group and thinking of all the "what if's") but incredibly FUN, plenty of rock climbing walls to work on. There were several groups throughout the park, it felt busy. Don't expect a serene cave visit, you will share the experience with many others on a weekend. The hike at the ridge was super nice. Plan it well and bring enough water, it took us longer than we had thought.

Make sure you bring everything you need if you spend the night, this is really "out in the boonies" and although the State Park office will sell a handful of different items, you will have to take a drive for anything more specific. Since we tent camped we came prepared with food etc.

P.S. Without the intention of scaring anyone, do be aware there are (small) black bears in this area. We saw paw prints and a friend of mine told me about a bear crossing the parking lot. We had some girls do hammock camping which can be considered safe AS LONG as there is no food at all around and no fruity-smelling shampoo was used recently. All food stayed out of the tents and in the cars and we removed our group's trash to the dumpster in the evenings to keep it away from the camping ground and had no encounters.

Absolutely amazing!! We stayed from Dec 31-Jan 2, 2024 at the Robbers Cave Lodge room 201. The views, the room and the space was incredible. Didn’t want to leave that’s for sure. The customer service was great as well. Will be returning.

Rented the famous cabin 101. Beautiful views! Crappy, shabby cabin with no heat. Due to no heat, they promised 103, not the best but still on the bluff. Go to get keys changed, and are told they just rented that cabin. Put us in another cabin, not on the bluff. Don't waste your money. When we tried to talk to management of course they were not onsite. Instead the young girl just threatened to call the sheriff. Great customer service, ha! Whoever runs this place is incompetent.

We love Robbers Cave State Park. It’s the perfect place for every one. I’ve been at least half a dozen times always staying in the cabins. The cabins are cute and quaint. They have they’re own fire pit with chairs outside of every cabin with provided wood. As of very recent the cabins have all been renovated. I kinda miss the old log cabin feeling. There’s brand new everything, stove, fridge, bathroom fixtures etc. Since Covid, they don’t provide cooking/eating tools like pans, plates, cups, or utensils. You have to bring everything but the kitchen sink. With the new renovations and nothing in the cabins, I don’t think they thought out what ppl DO have to bring. There is no place to put your belongings. In the bathroom there is no place to put anything down, no flat surface. In the kitchen, very little counter space to prepare food. Also, side note, the floors are gross. We could tell when they “clean” it only sweeping floors and not mopping.
The park across from the cabins and campground has lots to do. Fish and duck feeding, paddle boats, swimming in the summer, nature center, and activities scheduled every weekend. Honestly, it’s our favorite place to escape to in Oklahoma
