Small monastery in town. Open 24 hrs as per Google and was open till 10pm when we visited. Spend half an hour walking around the nearby park, and try your hands at a giant prayer wheel. No tickets. No parking.

As a new place and a new journey, enjoy the unique combination of nature and culture as seen at this temple.
This Monastery just after border with a pond & a small park was made 33 years ago !
There are paintings and statues to admire, with prayer wheels.
Nice place to spend an hour or two, with the whole family.
Just across is the fabulous "KIZOM BAKERY" !

Me and my friend, went to this garden unknowingly, it's an only Garden there, so you won't be missing it at any point. It's exactly in the center of the market. But, since it will be your first destination on Bhutan's journey you will like it.

We had a wonderful stay for 8 days in Bhutan and this is the first the we did the planning all by ourselves without an agent .. we had an amazing time and did the trip within 40k per head .. all inclusive ( flight ,travel , hotel ,food and shopping) .

Centraal trefpunt van jong en oud. Hier wordt gepicknicked met de familie. Bid rondjes gelopen om de tempel (met de klok mee!), duiven gevoederd. Ik werd daar een week geleden voor het eerst benaderd door een bedelaar sinds de jaren dat ik hier nu kom. Voor een land waar het algemene geluk en voorspoed op een hoog plan staat vind ik dat er steeds meer daklozen zijn, zowel in Thimphu als in Phuentsholing. Om dit parkje bevindt zich o.a. de ATM waar vaak een rij staat. Toen ik ging pinnen stak er nog een betaalpas in van iemand, vergeten. Ik vroeg omstanders wat ik daar mee moest doen en die adviseerden me, om het gewoon opzij te leggen. Dat zou wel goed komen. Een collega vertelde dat dat idd vaker voorkwam en dat phising of afkijken van je pincode hier nog niet "in" was. Bij belangrijke gebeurtenissen, zoals de verjaardag van de koning, wordt het parkje schoongemaakt, o.a. door schooljeugd. De bankjes worden dan ook opnieuw gewit en de foto van de koning staat op een standaard voor de tempel.

The border town of Phuentsholing sees a lot of incoming tourists and travelers but few with interest in Phuentsholing itself. Mostly travelers who enter Bhutan by road from India and need to get the permit for onwards journey from the Immigration Office stay here for a night.
However, there are a few things that people can explore in Phuentsholing besides getting the Permit, and one of those is Zangto Pelri Lhakhang, the buddhist temple at the heart of the town, not far from the Immigration Office or Bhutan Gate. It's a tranquil oasis amidst chaos and busy traffic on the surrounding streets. In the evening the fountain is lit up and local devotees can be seen offering prayer by spinning the prayer wheels and counting beads while circumambulating the temple perimeter. The giant prayer wheels and the rows of smaller ones offers a glimpse of what we are about to experience once we begin our onwards journey to the spiritually and culturally rich land of thunder dragon.

The is a small temple located in middle of Phuentsholing town, the night view is really beautiful. I visit it every time i visit Phuentsholing

At the heart of Phuentsoling and situated in the central park its difficult to miss this.All commercial activities of town happen around here.

This temple is situated at the center of the town. It also has a small park where in you can sit in the morning and evening. Well maintained. Go there to move some player wheels😊

Hi,
This temple is located very close to the border in Phuntsholing. The distance from jaldapara to border is around 40 km. And as Indian citizen you donot require any permit for entering Phuntsholing. But if you wish to move further to other cities in Bhutan you need to get permit issued first.
