An incredible hot air balloon experience! The staff was professional, friendly, and made sure safety was a top priority. The views during the flight were breathtaking, and it felt like floating peacefully in the sky. The entire journey was smooth, and the takeoff and landing were flawless. A big thank you to the team for making this such a memorable adventure.

As part of our honeymoon tour around Sri Lanka , this was a definite highlight amongst many. All arranged superbly and Justin and his crew were brilliant at both ends of the flight . Justin has a great local knowledge having lived here many years and his skills as a pilot are amazing . The end of the journey greeted with a glass of champagne and certificate which is a lovely finish to a great early morning . Well worth the early start and thoroughly recommended. Well worth the early morning wake up call for this absolutely amazing experience. Drift nearly silently above the beautiful Sri Lankan scenery and watch the sun rise. Finished off with a glass of bubbly.
Would highly recommend. Picked up from hotel. Looked after by the crew and dropped back after ready for breakfast.

Fabulous experience with Sunrise Balloons from 1st contact with Mareena (she even found us a hotel that was open to receive us on SL New Year’s Eve and day!)
We had a great flight. Very professional and safe.
We were the star attraction when we landed close to a village and everyone came out to see us.
Highly recommended.

What a beautiful experience. I called Mareena to book the flight as a surprise for my partner. I have weak legs due to MND but she assured me that I had nothing to worry about. The crew were amazing and we had a good laugh as they expertly helped me in and out of the basket. Getting picked up from the hotel at 4.45am for the sunrise flight was well worth it. There was little wind so we lifted off gently and drifted along very serenely. For anyone worried about this experience, don’t be. Gliding over the landscape as the sun rises is special. It is a peaceful and beautiful experience. Justin is an extremely experienced and friendly pilot and you feel in very safe hands. The landing was in a harvested paddy field and very gentle. We were given a Sunrise ballooning peaked cap, a flight certificate and a very nice glass of bubbly. Hats off to Justin, Mareena and the crew. If anyone reading this is thinking about, it is a must. This was my first time experience In March 25, the weather was awesome, the ride was very very smooth considering my concerns with a 7 year old along with me. she loved it, I loved it & the staff were more than nice & helpful. They also gave me a hot deal which was nice of them. I recommend this ride for all ages. Sri Lanka is stunning but from up there is something else 🥰

We had our trip to Sri Lanka in January 2024 and one of the highlights was supposed to be a Hot-Air-Ballon-Ride. It was not promissed too much! It was a fantastic remarkable day, which i will never forget.
Already the organisation and the pick up at the hotel early morning was perfect.
We were brought to the starting-point and could watch, how the ballon was made ready for take-off.
The flight itselfe was great - we had perfect weather - and not for a minute i felt insecure, though it was my very first balloon-ride. Everything went well, the pilot seems to be very experienced and the landing was soft and safe.
I do not know how to say "thank you" enough to Mareena, her husband (pilot) and the whole crew for giving us an experience of a lifetime!

Took a hot air balloon flight with Sun Rise Ballooning. The views were spectacular pilot very knowledgeable the kids on the ground were so happy.

If you are thinking of taking a balloon flight in Sri Lanka use Sunrise Ballooning. After watching Alexander Armstrong exploring Sri Lanka on channel 5 I was inspired to make this trip. I booked directly from the UK. Mareena made everything so easy and answered all my questions quickly and gave me great confidence in their business.
The flight was awesome, taking off in early morning with a full moon still up and the sun just beginning to peep over the hills behind us. We passed low over tree tops and fields, and could see people getting ready for their day, some stopping to watch and wave as we glided past. Justin the pilot, a lovely guy, extremely knowledgeable and very professional is backed up by his fantastic crew who were waiting to guide the balloon down gently and safely. What an incredible experience, thank you.

Hello, we plan on visiting Dambulla on 19th of August, probably early afternoon. After a short trip around the temple we would love to see Dambulla from abouve. Will you be available for that date and do you have options for late flights - like sunset for example?
