We had an amazing flight. The captain has great skills and knows exactly what he was doing. The view, sunrise and other balloons around were AMAZING, as well. One-of-a-kind experience for us.
The contact with the company was fluent from the start-go, helped us with schedule and the car was on time at the hotel.
Would go again, if possible!

Like my review about not booking in advance for Halong Bay in Vietnam, this may be another of those. Having paid 200 Euros for our flight per person via our hotel in Goreme, we were shocked to meet an American girl who is living in Istanbul in a queue for the Galata tower, that she only paid something like 100 Euros odd in March some 7 months earlier. That did not make sense as March is no more an off peak season than November. She reckoned this maybe because she booked within Turkey herself and the balloon people can see that. Are they charging foreign tourists more like in certain countries? She reckoned maybe a VPN may do the trick if you have to book online or get a friend within Turkey to do it. I know we did not pay over the odds as we were advised in advance by our hotel in Goreme that the cheapest flights were 170 or 180 euros with Royal and Butterfly (which also happen to be the most popular) but were told that their first flights which we wanted were fully booked and hence went with another company. Our hotel in Istanbul offered to book for us and out of interest I enquired and they wanted 250 euros!
Anyway, the experience was worth the long wait and I would love to do it again. I suggest a stay of at least 2 nights in Cappadocia in case you don't get to go on the balloon as it can be cancelled due to the weather - windy conditions, snow or rain are not your friends! The good thing about our hotel was they booked our flight without an advance payment and were totally relaxed about taking our money (we paid in cash) until we checked out. I didn't want to risk booking online in advance and having to get the refund in case we couldn't go on the flight.The Trip Advisor option only assign "Family (teens)" but that is not the case as our daughter is an adult.

Hello, my family and I booked the trip in hot air balloons, but the day we went there, due to weather conditions the balloons didn't fly. We were told that there was a refund, that it would take about five days, but it has been almost 2 weeks and we don't have news about our mooney, and for three people is to much! Has anybody had the same problem? And how did you find a solution? Thanks!
