My husband and I booked Bright African Safaris for a 14 day private tour in Tanzania and they were absolutely phenomenal. I achieved everything on my wishlist because of them.
Highlights include seeing a total of 69 lions (including lion cubs); 6 leopards; 7 cheetahs (including one mama with 3 cubs); 4 rhinos (although far away); 5 river crossings over two days in north Serengeti (one with insane crocodile action!); a crocodile eating a baby hippo; a lioness stealing a gazelle carcass from a vulture and then crunching on the bones right in front of us...
I could go on and on.
(The only thing on my wishlist that I did not get to see was predator action from a big cat, but I'm not NatGeo or BBC Earth filming crew who also has to wait weeks for the moment)
.
Prior to the trip, I communicated with Salim to solidify my itinerary and accommodation choices. And once we had arrived, our safari guide was Rama (also known as Mr Banana).
1) TOUR DETAILS
This was our itinerary route: Arusha city tour - Arusha NP - Tarangire NP - Mto wa Mbu village visit - Lake Natron - Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe & Datoga tribe visit) - Ngorongoro caldera - Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti.
We ended the tour with a flight out to Zanzibar via Arusha from Kogatende airstrip--this was booked for us by the BAS team.
The BAS team also booked us a hot air balloon ride with Adventures Aloft in northern Serengeti. I HIGHLY recommend this experience although it is not cheap. It was one of the magic moments of my trip even though I had already ridden a hot air balloon before in Cappadocia, Turkey.
For those who are interested, these are our accommodation choices I picked: Tarangire Safari Lodge; Lake Natron Tented Camp; Kisima Ngeda camp; Ngorongoro Lodge Melia collection; Kubu Kubu tented lodge; Suenos de Africa tented camp; Baobab Mara River camp. I booked a simple guesthouse on my own in Arusha.
I will not go into detail about my accommodation choices and my itinerary, because this review is really about what BAS excels in as a tour operator.
2) PRE-TRIP COMMUNICATION WITH SALIM
I am very adept at planning trips independently, so I expected a tour operator who could value-add to my own planning significantly. Salim delivered this well during the planning process.
He was very responsive on Whatsapp despite our differing time zones. He gave me plenty of information on things like drive times between destinations; differences in the accommodation choices I found, especially the cost (and I looked at A LOT); how much time we would spend on the activities I wanted to do (like tribe visits); how much downtime we would get to enjoy some of the premium tented camps and lodges I wanted to book.
I had VERY specific experiences and photo opportunities I wanted for the trip, and he made sure our tour would deliver on them.
An example: I wanted 1 night in Ngorongoro Serena lodge because I wanted to see amazing crater rim views, especially at sunset. (The view from the public viewpoint accessible by everyone was not enough for me). Unfortunately, the lodge was fully booked although I had messaged Salim 9 months before our trip dates. BAS and the other tour operator that I had been communicating with both offered Lion's Paw instead. I felt disappointed because the caldera view from Lion's Paw was only partial, so I told Salim why I preferred Serena lodge, but that I'll take Lion's Paw if no availability ever opens up.
He could have left it at that, but Salim understood that I really wanted a good view. Thus he offered Ngorongoro Lodge Melia for me to consider. I did not know about the Melia hotel until he suggested it. It was much more expensive, but he told me the exact price difference and I liked having the choice to choose what I want to spend my money on.
He also offered Suenos de Africa camp and Baobab Mara River camp for our stay in the Serengeti although I had asked for the usual TA recommendations (e.g. Tortilis, Nyikani, Acacia Migration camp , etc). They were cheaper than quite a few of the TA recommendations I had asked for, and both ended up being excellent choices.
Salim also told me several times that I could ask him for advice for the Zanzibar portion of my trip, even though I did not ask BAS to plan this part of the trip for me. He freely offered me advice on good hotels and tours that I could consider taking without any hard-selling or pressure to hire them to help me plan this segment of the trip.
Another thing I really like is that I did not have to remind our guide about what I had communicated with Salim. Our guide knew which camps and which lodges we wanted time to spend time in, and which were the days where we could game-drive from dawn to dusk. And since it was a private tour, our guide would remind us that the day's plans were flexible. He would ask us if we wanted to go back to our camp to rest when he noticed us dozing off in the jeep.
3) SAFARI WITH OUR INCREDIBLE GUIDE, RAMA BANANA
Our guide, Rama (also known as Mr Banana), truly made our trip magic. We are not very chatty people so I really liked that he gave us soooo much information about Tanzania, its people, and the animals unprompted. I told him I wanted to see and photograph ALL sorts of animals, not just the Big 5, and he delivered. He would stop to show us everything and anything, even the "ordinary" common birds. He would remember what I did not get a good photo of, to show me again... And he would remember what I had already photographed.
I don't even know how he can differentiate and remember the names of sooooo many different birds. He would even check his reference book and ask on a birding forum in the very few times he wasn't sure what bird I had photographed.
His experience and skill as a guide showed itself most prominently in Tarangire and Serengeti. Finding animals has an element of luck to it, BUT a good guide has to know WHERE and WHEN to look for the elusive ones.
In Tarangire, we had already set up our lunch at the lunch spot overlooking Siwale Swamp when he heard from another guide that there was a leopard down in the dry grasses across the waterhole of the swamp. He asked us to leave our table set up immediately to go down to find the leopard, because time was key... and we managed to see her climbing up the tree to rest there!!
When we returned to eat our lunch, we overheard other guests discussing with their guides that they had heard about the leopard on the tree. But they did not immediately get up to go see. When we were done with our meal, we went back down to go see the leopard again. This time round, it was luck that allowed us to watch her climb down the tree and disappear amongst the tall grass.
The other guests who had waited to finish their meals were also following behind us, but they ended up completely missing the sighting by just mere minutes!
In the Serengeti, it was also incredibly uncanny how Rama would comment about where certain animals could be found... and then we would end up finding exactly what he had predicted.
He starts looking for animals hiding in the shade of trees--we find a hyena sitting under the first one. He tells us we have to check for animals hiding UP in the tree--we end up finding a leopard sitting right up the tree we wanted to have lunch under, and a dead Serval underneath. He comments on how animals like to sit on top of termite mounds to use them as a lookout point-- we end up finding a cheetah sitting on top of one. He says lions like being on top of the kopjes and hide their cubs on top of them in the early morning--we find the cubs there just like he said.
At our Serengeti lodge, we had other guests telling us they really hoped they would see a leopard because they could not find one. In contrast, we saw THREE leopards in the same day. And we had been driving around the same area (Southeast Serengeti) because at least they managed to see the same mama cheetah with 3 cubs as us.
Many times, we had these special animal encounters all to ourselves with no other jeeps around because Rama knew where to find these elusive animals on his own. He did not have to rely on the radio announcements and he only used the radio for the river crossings in the north.
Even then, we got to witness our most spectacular river crossing because he decided to wait around the river across Singita lodge. There were probably only two other jeeps there near us when the herd decided to cross. Because we were already waiting right by the river, we got the best angle to watch the crossing and we could watch it from the very start to the end.
Rama was also very prepared in managing freak accidents. While in the Serengeti, we got a flat tire because a huge metal rod hidden on the road suddenly impaled our tire. No problem at all for him--he changed the tire out with a spare and we were on our way. Our jeep also got stuck because of a rock when we were chasing a potential river crossing. No problem once again: he managed to get it freed with his creative methods.
He would also clean the jeep every day after the end of our game-driving, and ask me if he needed to bring me any of my stuff that I had left behind overnight.
4) LUNCH
I am SO glad I did not get the boxed lunches that I saw almost every other operator using. Traditionally, everyone gets disposable boxed lunches from their hotel. Usually it's a sandwich or a burger, salad, fruits, pasta, some dessert that doesn't require refrigeration... But BAS orders a proper lunch meal from their guests' accommodation and stores them in metal tiffin carriers.
So our lunches were much more like our dinners, and they were VERY tasty. It was quite funny how there were guests from 5* hotels with their boxed lunches looking at the lunch I got from my budget guesthouse in Arusha with jealousy when we were sharing a table at our picnic spot.
5) OTHER SERVICE HIGHLIGHTS
For photographers, the BAS jeep had a bean bag in it, so you don't have to bring your own.
BAS has to outsource to other guides outside of their company for certain parts of the tour. For example, the walking tours in Arusha NP and Tarangire NP are conducted by park rangers.
Our guide looked for certain rangers that he knew, but getting them to guide us was dependent on whether they were available. I like that he always informed us that tipping these guides was optional, because they were being paid for their services, and he also told us how much would be a good amount IF we wanted to tip. It came in very useful because our Arusha NP ranger asked us for an EXORBITANT tip and said it was "the norm". We did not feel bad to decline firmly because we knew it was not the case.
The guides that BAS used for the Arusha NP canoe safari, Mto wa Mbu village visit, and when we visited the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes were all very good. They were very informative, did not ask for tips, and told us that we did not have to tip villagers or buy anything from the craftsmen unless we wanted to.
At Lake Natron camp, we had to use the camp's in-house guide for the excursions they offered. We could really see the difference in the standard of the guides then and we much preferred our own BAS guide.
The BAS team gave us two Maasai shukas as a gift at the start of the trip. They were very useful to keep me warm in cold weather during the trip and they now make lovely blankets for my cats to sit on at home. We also got two metal water bottles from BAS to fill our drinking water every day--I like how they try to minimize plastic use.
The BAS team also thought it was our honeymoon and gave us a cake at the start of the trip. Our trip was a wedding anniversary trip instead, but because BAS informed our accommodation that we were on honeymoon... we got upgraded by Melia Ngorongoro Lodge to a JUNIOR SUITE for free!
6) CONCLUSION
I'm VERY happy I picked BAS. If I could have done anything differently, I would have asked BAS to organize the tours for my Zanzibar trip as well, instead of relying on the local Zanzibari guide I had found on TA for Zanzibar (he turned out iffy). BAS was worth every penny that we spent on them and I hope they will continue to do well for years to come.

My wife and I recently spent about 10 days on Safari with Bright African, Sept 29-Oct 9, and it was the adventure of a lifetime. Our Bright driver/guide was Rajabu Msangi, and he was a total class act: enthusiastic, can-do spirit, knowledgeable, flexible, and creative. Our situation was likely a little unusual since we also had an additional private guide who knew Rajabu well, and the two of them collaborated. We were interested in both animals and birds in the Serengeti/Ngorongoro regions and so there was hardly ever a moment when we didn't see something either totally exciting, like Crowned Grey Cranes, Secretary Birds, or any number of different raptors, let alone leopard, cheetah, lion, elephant, rhinoceros, or hippo. We caught three migration crossings in 2 days on the Mara River, plus an odd crossing over an interior road where the Wildebeest behaved as if the road were a river, go figure! We were very fortunate. We observed Rajabu's intimate knowledge of the crossings and how he positioned us and anticipated the movement of larger herds on the Kenya side while other drivers were racing all about on the Tanzanian side of the river. Having a large herd of Wildebeest race by as they completed a crossing was thrilling.
We had daily hot lunches in grassy areas in the shade of a tree, the perfect place to eat and not be eaten. We are not quite sure that Raj didn't have computerized telescopic eyes because he could see things at a distance that nobody else could. He steered us toward groups of lions so that we saw about 25 in a relatively small area; major cat naps!
Bright African Safaris clearly stand by their clients. We had minor engine trouble one evening in the pitch dark that necessitated a tow. Raj was quickly able to reach our home camp by radio, get us rescued, and Bright African Safari's drove a new vehicle to us overnight from Arusha to the Serengeti so that we didn't miss a beat on our tour. That's really a commitment.
Rajabu grew up local to Kilimanjaro and his intimate knowledge of Tanzania, both towns and countryside, was really appreciated. He is a family man and we enjoyed sharing photos of our grandchildren and his kids.
Our accommodations ranged from perfectly adequate to terrific and we slept both in glamping/platform tent scenes and elegant lodges. Do remember that solar water heaters are more friendly with an evening than a morning shower!
One thing additional: Raj was able to quickly adapt to my photographer's wishes regarding position, stop/start/move etc. He made this photographer's experience outstanding. I'm still sorting through the 900 really good shots I culled from the pool of some 8000 images captured during our trip. Oh, and if you have a chance to take a balloon ride: do it! It's worth the expense.
Bright African Safaris and Rajabu Msangi gave us an experience of a lifetime. We recommend them with enthusiasm.

Thank you Bright African Safaris for the experience of a lifetime! My wife and I just got back from a 4-day/3-night safari in Tanzania exploring Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Our adventure exceeded all expectations thanks to the most incredible guide, Banana! He was so kind and incredibly skilled and knowledgeable, leading us to see and experience so many different animals.
We saw literally everything we could have hoped to see... lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, warthogs, hyenas, ostriches, vultures, eagles, mongoose, and even a few leopards and rhinos completing the big five! We cannot recommend Banana enough - he is absolutely amazing at what he does.
Our booking and planning experience was also a great experience, with clear and timely communication, being given plenty of options while also being provided excellent recommendations, and filled with trust. Thank you Evania!

Wow....where should I begin...On my last experience with a safari in Tanzania, many years ago, I was cheated and I was a bit cautious this time.
I made a safari enquiry with Bright African Safaris many months ago.
Evania answered my mail and we have been in touch since then via mail or Whatsapp. She answered every question with amazing patience (and there were many...). She gave us a great plan for the safari and a good price.
Upon arrival in Tanzania, she visited us at the hotel and gave us local presents!!!
We had an amazing safari! I would also like to praise the drivers Godwin and Rajabu who assisted us greatly. Picked us up with a new A/C van and drove really safely.
If you choose Bright African Safari, know that you are in good hands!!
If you choose them, know that your dollars go to a local company and not an Indian/ British/ American....owned.

We, 3 couples, just came back from a 2-weeks vacation in Tanzania and Maasai Mara National reserve in Kenya. We spent most of time in Tanzania, added 2 days in Maasai Mara as a supplement. Our trip also included one day hike in Kilimanjaro. Yes, we packed a lot in our itinerary. All of us came back satisfied with the unique incredible experience.
To help Tanzania local business and people, I paid extra attention to Arusha based tour operators. I believe it is a win-win situation. Not only the locals get direct benefits, we also get more reasonable price from less overhead. We aimed for the mid-range tours. The requirement for accommodations are clean room/tent with en-suite bathroom, warm shower, flush toilet. Bright African Safaris (BAS) stands out quickly after several rounds of emails with several candidate TOs for its punctuated responses and clear information. Evania arranged trip for both Tanzania and Kenya. She is very responsive, answering all our questions along the 9 month process of proposing itinerary, and refining details to stay within our budget and to make trip more efficient. Evania not just proposed an itinerary, she gave alternative accommodations with links to their websites for most of places. I feel the more details about lodges, the easier for me to make choices. Accumulating and updating information about accommodations is something that helps customers a lot. Our safari trip starts with a cake in BAS office with Evania, and we were surprised by cakes send to our dinner table toward the end of Tanzania part. Thank you Evania!
I requested Mr. Banana as our guide after reading good reviews about him. Everyone is happy with Mr. Banana. He is the critical part to make our safari trip an incredible experience. He has warm and bright smiles, we immediately felt comfortable with him. We call him Banana, often “ Hey, Banana, ….” Banana is professional and knowledgeable as many other reviews mentioned. He carries maps, regional and zoom-ins, a book of game pictures. Each morning, Banana started with a briefing with his map hanging on the visor, clearly communicating what we will do and what is the primary mission for the day. None of us has a good knowledge base about animals and the local culture/ecology, but everyone is keen to learn and like to find out why for everything. We found Banana’s morning lessons and explanations along the game drive satisfactory. Since we packed a lot in our itinerary, there are a lot driving from place to place, which makes most of our days long. We took a nap in car when tired, however Banana is always alert watching for games while driving, he works hard to get us the best experience he could. We have Tarangire, lake Natron, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti included in the itinerary. Banana knows well how to maximize our exposure collectively. For example, when we were all excited about lions in crater, he told us we will see a lot lions in Serengeti, focusing on the primary mission of finding rhinos. Our trip was late for watching wild beasts crossing river. Banana took us to Mara river bank and strategically positioned early morning. With his good instincts, we were able to take a perfect spot, watching one of last herds crossing river. Later in the day, there was another group wild beasts gathering a long the river, we decided to wait, and ended up waiting for 8 hours. The herd didn’t cross with 4 attempts, but we were amazed by observing the interesting behavior of these creatures, AND were rewarded by seeing a crocodile snapping a wild beast. We were impressed by Banana’s instinct. All three guys in our group like to take pictures. We are all excited about the close-up look of wild animals, only realized later how the truck was positioned nicely for photo shooting. At the end of trip we found out that the Banana himself is a photographer. Mr Banana also takes a good care of us, everything you can think of, including toilet paper, was prepared. Each day, we had warm lunch packed in the reusable containers, hot water for coffee, code drinks in fridge. Table and chairs for everyone. Banana is a good driver, a lot of road is very bumpy, I can tell he monomer the vehicle carefully and quickly to smooth out our ride as much as possible. He tidied up the interior and clean the exterior of the vehicle every day. We really appreciate every little thing Banana did for us. Highly recommend BAS and ask for Mr Banana. Trust your guide, enjoy what you’re seeing, you will have a great experience.
We made a detour to Lake Natron for flamingos, which are a little underwhelmed. We went for Sunset by lake, should have started earlier to leave enough time for photos before dark. However what we saw on the way there and back are amazing, make the trip worthwhile, close look of volcano Ol Doinyo Lengai, a lot os giraffes. The scene of masa’s fetching water from stream is striking. Lodging near Natron was a little rough. The room is not well sealed, a lot of bugs, and very hot.
We added 2 days of Maasai Mara game drive in Kenya at the end. It was arranged through BAS as well. Vincent was our guide. The transition was seamless. When we arrived Isabania border, Vincent was already there waiting. Banana did not leave until we got through Tanzania and Kenya customers. Vincent knew where to find games to satisfy our growing appetite since we have seen a lot of games in Tanzania. At the time, wild beasts went Serengeti side, Masaai Mara reserve looked pretty quite. We got an opportunity watching the dynamics of two lion cubs with their mom, and excited to see a baby leopard having meal up on a tree. These certainly are among the highlights in our safari experience.
Couple notes for people who are thinking to visit East Africa. Since the road conditions are bumpy, it’s takes longer than google map tells you to move from A to B. If you have a lot stops like us, driving overhead is big. However, the extra driving is not for nothing, we got to see the beautiful landscape of East Africa rift from different angles, and appreciated opportunities to see local villages, and slices of their life. Simply more dimensions added to your national park experience.
If you also going to both Tanzania and Kenya sides, I feel service standards are a little different between two countries. This is just my feel, I don’t mean stating it as a fact. I still think going both sides maximize your exposure since the migration is so dynamic. If you’re on the fence to pick one, I recommend Tanzania without a doubt.

We have recently returned from our September 2024 trip that we took with Bright African Safari. The trip was nearly perfect. Our driver in Kenya, Vincent picked us up in Nairobi. From there we traveled to Lake Nakuru, where we saw 4 out of the "Big 5" on our first drive. From there we traveled to the awe inspiring Masai Mara. Vincent was so fun and knowledgable. He knew that I particularly loved giraffes, and found us a perfect spot for our picnic lunch right near a group of giraffes. It was so wonderful....almost unbelievable. We were able to see so many things. We witnessed part of the Great Migration which was unimaginable! You can hardly believe your eyes. Truly a wonderful, awe inspiring experience. After Kenya, we met our new driver, Wilson at the border. From there we continued on to Tanzania. We had a beautiful night on Lake Victoria, and traveled on to Seregeti, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire. Wilson is truly "top notch" he really took the time to answer our one million questions. Of which he actually knew the answers to, and made the whole trip so much fun. He knew my husband liked birds and made a game out of trying to find all the birds on his list. The tales he told us of his experiences with the animals were just wonderful. The lodges/tent camps we stayed at were all superb with great staff. The exception was the Ngorongoro Luxury Tent Camp. The tent camp was near the Ngorongoro crater area and located in the valley.
Our night there was probably the most terrified I have been in my life. The camp is in a very secluded area. Our driver and my husband and I were the only guests there. The wind was so bad I felt like we were in the middle of a hurricane. The platform tents and flooring were literally rocking all night long and sounded like we were going to collapse or get blown away. I cannot even explain how terrifying it was. Needless to say, we did not sleep a wink. I know that Bright African Safari company is not in any way responsible for the wind at this location, but they booked us in there, and knew of the terrible reviews and problems that particular location was having.
Please check the reviews of this camp to understand my frustration regarding this.
This was a long awaited and bucket list trip for us, and obviously was not inexpensive. We basically lost a night and the whole next day due to the terrible sleepless night at the tent camp. When we addressed this with the office, they said they were sorry, and wouldn't continue to use that camp for their future clients. I certainly am happy that no one else will experience that, but that really was no compensation for us. Other than an apology, I felt that it was just "brushed off" and there were no other attempts made to make it right. I wish I could give them a 5 star review because it was near perfect. However, I feel that they really missed the mark on this one regarding customer satisfaction.

Jambo,
We are very sorry for what happened at your camp at Ngorongoro area, due to weather there were much wind and that was uncontrolled as you know weather is something unpredicted and this is not our fault. After the trip we sat with you and discussed this and we don't think if its fair to give us three star for a disaster caused by wind at the camp.
All I can say, whomever think of choosing us for his African safaris, we promise to deliver the best as per what our 99% of our clients speak about us on Trip advisor.
Again, we are real sorry for what happened at your camp in Ngorongoro. You experienced strong wind at mid of night and that were out of our control.

I highly recommending using Bright Africa! After having to cancel our trip with another company due to a horrible experience, Bright Africa was able to step in and save our 12 day safari with only a couple of months notice. Throughout our entire experience they were professional, responsive, and extremely helpful. A highlight was our guide we had for our 8 days in Tanzania, Hamisi. Hamisi was friendly, acknowledgeable, and delivered on all our animal viewing requests. I would 100% recommend Bright Africa and if you can, ask for Hamisi to be your guide!

We had seven days safaris with Roma Banana during our customized safaris trip. He was so professional, knowledgeable, patient, accommodating, and fun. He totally exceeded our expectations, and we had a blast!
Banana is a walking encyclopedia. Each day before he started the car engine, he would pull out the map, explained to us the daily plan, the animals or events to expect. I did not spot any single other safari guide did the same thing. He knows so many details about the local animals, birds, trees, flowers, history and geometry. He knows the big cats by name and individual behavior. Each time we asked a question, he was able to answer it and expanded much more. For instance, I asked what made the elephant push down the tree. Banana answered the question and told us all the behaviors which make elephant “the master of the jungle”. We enjoyed so many stories about lions, cheetahs, leopards, crocodiles, zebras, hyaenas, and local history, Masai cultures, and many many more.
Banana has super sharp instinct. His deep knowledge, patience, focus, persistence and good sense allowed us to enjoy the safaris more than what we could ever imagined. He was the first one to spot the cheetah mom and baby, and the other two cars in the same area thanked him because they were about to drive away. Banana was able to find three bachelor lions in a place where no other car around at all. He led us enjoyed two lion kingdoms with his endless stories. He was the very first one to react to the wild beast river crossing and drove the car to the river bank at the good timing, not to disturb the crossing, and also allowed us to capture the moment. And later during another crossing event, he was the first one to tell other drivers that a crocodile was biting and holding one wild beast. There were several times we were about to give up, but Banana did not, and thanks that we always ended with a big surprise.
Also Each day, he picked us up with a clean organized car that he hand washed with bucket water and towel in the evening no matter how late we finished the previous day.
Our group of six had 3 nights staying in different camps/hotels 30 minutes apart. Banana dropped us off and picked us up from two places patiently.
Banana was always considerate, moved the car for good light and angel for photos.
Banana is a fantastic driver, we all felt safe with him navigating the bumpy road day time and evening time.
Banana said he worked for the pride and the country, not for the brand, nor for the money. I feel that it’s his own passion and great vision made him a unique hard-to-find safari guide.
If you are a nature lover, an animal lover, a bird water, or history fan, you will not be disappointed if you can have Banana as your safaris guide.

We had great time during our safari trip in the Tanzanian national parks organized by Bright Safari. I was in communication with Evania for almost 8 months to plan our trip. She provided multiple options, detail pricing and her experience to plan perfect trip. I was very happy with her timely responses, all reservation options she provided.
We are travel a lot, but it was our first trip to Africa and I was nervous
But when we met with Evania in Arusha, all our stress was gone.
We spent 12 days in Safari, visited 5 national parks and lake Nitro.
Our driver Rajabu was amazing, he took excellent care of us. We had clean car, water, tea/coffe, hot lunch daily. We saw so many animals, he drove us to the parts of the parks that we did not see other cars around us. All our tents were vey nice and comfortable, service and food were great also.
I would highly recommend Bright safari for your adventure in Africa.

My wife and I, plus four of our friends got back recently from an incredible 12-day safari with Bright Africa Safaris. Our original tour operator left us hanging at the last minute, but Bright Africa Safaris came through and totally saved our trip. They put together an amazing custom safari for us on short notice.
Every place we stayed was fantastic—great locations, super comfortable, and the staff were all extremely friendly. But honestly, the highlight was our guide, Hamisi. He was awesome! Not only did he seem to have a knack for finding every animal we wanted to see, but his positive attitude kept everyone in high spirits throughout the trip.
If you're ever thinking about a safari in Tanzania, I highly recommend going with Bright Africa Safaris and definitely ask if Hamisi can be your guide. You won't regret it!

Hi, I’ve been exchanging emails with Salim from your company for a trip in February and hoping to verify the payment instructions again. Are you able to resend it via email?

Is Christmas a good time to see animals?
Yazıldığı tarih: 3 Temmuz 2019
Yes it is any time in tanzania is a good time to see wildlife, Christmas can be busy but the wildlife don't care, the Serengeti is vast so you can escape from the crowds

I am in the process of deciding where to go in Africa for my first trip. What influenced your decision to travel to Tanzania? It looks like you saw a wide variety of animals. Were you in tents? on platforms?
Yazıldığı tarih: 7 Nisan 2019
Tanzania because of the number of animals and the Serengeti ….and the safety of the country.
We loved this company and our guide so much that we are returning next month for our second trip, the accommodations were a mix of lodges and platform tents but these tents were completely enclosed with beds lights and a full bathroom and shower!
It’s an amazing life changing experience. I hope you get there!

We are a mature Canadian couple in good shape. Interested in medium luxury ( not tent camping ) about 30 days approximately Jan 10 to feb 10, 2019.

Try searching for
(i) brightafricansafaris and contact Mr. Msangi who is the owner. He will be able to assist to cater to your requirement. Am not sure of the cost though for one month duration.
(ii) Search for Mrindoko, who was our guide for a week trip. He was very good, i understand he is working for a new company called..VIP. He used to work for brightafricansafaris.

Dear Bright Safaris:
1) Your Trip Advisor reviews are awesome!
2) We are interested in a Safari for 2 for at least 10 days ( it is a long flight so we want to make it a full experience) We do not want “budget camping”. We want something a bit more comfortable
3) We definitely want to do the balloon ride over a game preserve
4) what would be the best time to go this year for prime viewing and decent weather??
Your thoughts??? Price ranges??
Thanks!
Dr Stephen Jay Smith

Hi Stephen
While I am not from BAS, but I did book a trip with them last Dec (2017)
1) They can certainly cater to your more upmarket requirements.
2) I think you should ask Msangi when the Wildebeest crossing will take place. That would be a memorable experience (we missed it BTW). And it would take you deeper into the Serengeti.
3) We didn't do the Balloon thing.
4) I think the prime vieweing would be sometme in Jan or Feb.. to be confirmed by the good folks at BAS.

Hi there! We would love to do a 3 or 4 day safari in Tanzania (Ngorongoro & Serengeti). Would it be possible to organise transport from Nairobi? We will end one tour there and do not know what the transport options are to get into Tanzania. Thank you!
Yazıldığı tarih: 7 Mayıs 2018
Yes, we can help you to arrange a shuttle bus ride from Nairobi to Arusha. There are two departures daily, the first one departs Nairobi at 8:00am and the second one departs nairobi at 2:00pm daily. There are few companies which are among the longtime standing company doing that route. You can try riverside shuttle or the Impala shuttle.

What immunizations did you get for travel to Tanzania and Kenya?
And did you see a lot of animals up close?
Yazıldığı tarih: 13 Şubat 2018
The common one is yellow fever vaccine. It is not required, unless you are coming from an endemic country or a stopover in an endemic country is more than 12 hours. You can consider your doctor on this.
