The Dried Seafood Street is a local name for section of Des Voeux Road West in the Sai Ying Pun/Sheung Wan area of the city. Here you can see wholesale and retail shops lining both sides of the street, dealing in all manner of dried seafoods and related sundries that are typically found in Chinese seafood markets. The shops are well lit and there is a noticeable aroma as you walk from one shop to the next.
Note that foot traffic can be heavy in this area of the city so be patient if you want to see the food items up close. Also keep eye open for various Chinese herbal medicines and tonics that can be seen here and back south on the intersecting and curved Ko Shing Street (Medicine Street).
You can easily spend 30-45 minutes walking this particular street market, taking in the sights, smells and as many photos as you like. Another interesting way to see the Dried Seafood Market is by way of the local Ding Ding which passes along this street very slowly because of the traffic. If you have an upstairs seat you can watch the market on both sides while enjoying a better vantage point.
Other interesting street markets also worth checking out in the area including the mentioned Ko Shing Street (Medicine Street), Bonham Strand (Gingseng Street) and Wing Lok (Bird's Nest Street). These are all worth checking out collectively if interested.

There are rows of shops selling the dried seafood like scallops , abalone, mushrooms , and bird nests to name a few. The location of these dried seafood is in Hong Kong island. You can board the western market tram towards Kennedy town and the journey takes like 15 min depending on traffic . You shd get down 2 stops before western market.. be prepared with the high price offered. I believe there are equally good range of dried seafood in other parts of the island such as markets.

ガイドブックの常連の乾物通りです。比較的綺麗にディスプレイしており、裏通りの安い乾物屋よりも日本人的には安心して買える店が何軒かあります。多すぎるくらい乾物屋があることも含めて、見物するにはとても楽しい場所です。

compare prices between the shop as there are around 100 shops around this area that specialised in dried seafood like dried scallops, sea cucumbers and dried mussels.

海味街位於上環永樂街一帶，因為有好多店舖都賣海味而聞名。依度有好多鋪頭都做左幾十年，亦因為夠集中易格價，每到過時過節都好多人嚟入貨。

この通りは乾物屋が多く珍しいものもありました。鮑煮缶と乾麺セット、棗など購入しました。少量でも量り売りのものもあります。壁絵アートや長いエスカレーターを見るときに寄ってみると良いと思います。

上環文咸東街、德輔道西一帶、加上永樂街和文咸西街，可說是超過二百多間參茸海味店舖的集中地。大部份店舖除了批發、還兼營零售。到處充滿魚翅、鮑魚、燕窩、元貝、冬菇等香味的海味街，除可購買價格較相宜的海味，還可欣賞古舊的建築物，一舉兩得。

This is a really cool. If you want to immerse yourself into a culture, this is one place to go. I have never been to a dried seafood market. We had the benefit of a guide who shared with us how many of the items were used in easter medicine.
Would definitely recommend this stop in your trip to HK. Doesn't take long.
