During our March stay at The Jefferson Hotel in Washington, DC, I had the opportunity to use their Petite Spa, and was impressed.
Usually when we travel, we often get couple’s massages, and dovetail to other treatments. Unfortunately, that would not be the case this time. Washington had been sandwiched into an already tight business trip, and my wife was in meetings most waking hours, including a business dinner one night. So, I chose an alternative: the “Stress-relieving Neck & Back Massage,” and was glad that I had. My therapist was excellent, and though the treatment was only 30 mins, managed to find most of the spots, which needed a good massage. Managing three suitcases through about 8 airports, can really put one’s neck and back into bad shape, and this massage did a very good job at relieving my tension.
The spa facilities, while small (hence the name Petite Spa), are very nice. Possibly due to the space available, their spa menu was a bit limited, but still, it is about the therapist, and mine was great.
My only complaint was that my wife’s schedule did not permit her to at least have on of the Express Treatments, though we did have a full spa day booked, for the end of this trip - San Francisco.
When we return to The Jefferson, we will make sure to build in time for that Couples’ Massage at the Petite Spa.
