The tour was amazing with a very knowledgeable guide! The owner Daragh was our guide and knows the subject matter extremely well, easily answering my many questions. I was very impressed and will definitely use his company when I return to Prague.

This was a really cool tour through some very unique “local” Prague establishments. The NYE fireworks blew me away despite very foggy weather . Apparently “banned” by the Prague gov’t a few years ago for various understandable reasons (cost, environment, animal welfare), the various Prague neighborhoods (private citizens) set up and hold their own fireworks display in a mad competition of one-upsmanship trying to outdo one another. Excellent vantage point to take in this wild display of +/- 10 neighborhoods holding simultaneous fireworks. Late night EDM club is something like Burning Man constructs in a post-wall East Berlin setting - this I will remember for a long while. Daragh is a great host and a very interesting conversation as well.

This was a wonderful tour with Daragh. His knowledge about the city was amazing. He told us stories of the war with such compassion and answered any questions we threw at him. Took us to some amazing places we never would have found on our own. His warmth and humor was appreciated. Thanks Daragh for a wonderful experience!

From the meet and greet to our final tour stop everything was amazing!
The way our guide Daragh explained the history of Prague during World War 2 was very informative and interesting.
I would recommend Bohemian Alternative tours with no hesitation.

This tour was so much fun. We were a group of three and got to visit bars in a suburb of Prague with interesting history. The drinks were generous and Daragh was a great host!

I was lucky enough to be in a very small group (we were only 4, guide included) which brought a welcome intimate side. The guide was loquacious, dynamic, cultured and very friendly. I had a great time with him and the other participants, a very nice and friendly couple. I discovered interesting drinks and places for my last evening in Prague.

Daragh was a fantastic tour guide! I went on this tour with two buddies, all first timers in Prague, and it easily ended up being the highlight of our trip. We went to bars we never would have stumbled upon as tourists. Daragh was a great time, and had an in depth knowledge of the history of the bars, Czech food and beverage scene, and the region’s history as a whole.

This was a charming walking tour that my partner and I very much enjoyed. While billed as a WW2 tour, the story's that are focussed on cover history beyond just WW2 and includes items relating to the Soviet era following the conclusion of WW2 as well.
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the stories that he was telling us and the places that we were visiting and was very relaxed and personable, allowing you to feel very at ease having a conversation with him.
The tour includes a meal and the restaurant/pub that we ate at was lovely, it had a nice atmosphere and the food on offer was very tasty. We stopped for a drink at each subsequent location and our guide introduced us to the locally popular version of cola - kofola, which was a nice bonus at our 2nd stop.
The tour is very unhurried, so there is plenty of time to ask questions and take in the sights around you and the walking is sedate and easy, so is fairly accessible for people.
Personally, I would recommend taking this tour early in your stay in Prague as our guide was able to provide us with lots of suggestions on places to eat or visit during our stay, and was great at introducing us to the tram system in Prague, so making this an early activity on your trip means that you get a good amount of local information that you can use for the rest of your stay.
