There are many gift stores throughout Queenstown however I found this to have a wider variety of stock at lower prices. The quality of most items seemed better than at comparable stores, and the service was much better. The staff are more than willing to assist and offer advice, and also to provide recommendations on places to eat and things to do from a local perspective (this is one of the very few stores that has Kiwis working there and not tourists passing through).
A fantastic place to pick up fabulous jewellery, both of the general kind and locally-sourced.

While we were in Queenland New Zealand, we visited The Gift Shop owned by Ian Caldwell!
It's a shop for Jade & Paua along with beautiful jewelry & gift items! Bought some lovely items for my collections!

We visited New Zealand for one month and I wanted a good souvenir to display in our home. It seemed like everywhere we went, we only found small plastic things or items that were really expensive.
We were walking towards Walk In Wardrobe and saw this place and ducked in. They had so many amazing items and we finally settled on this great Hei-tiki statue. During our time walking around the shop, we had been joking around with the owner, despite there being a ton of people inside. Our souvenir was $145, which we told him several times, even though he only charged us $120. He knew exactly how much it was but pretended it wasn't. It was incredibly sweet and not necessary but it made an impression on us.
