Cashing in on cheap food and basic surroundings

Food done on the cheap, expenve for what you got.
Not particularly welcoming or friendly staff, crap pottery and art, rip off,
Untidy and basic garden with basic food, big let down.

Seven months awaiting a refund, still not got it!

Couldn't organise a tea party in a tea factory. Such a let down.
And the kitchen is a disgrace.

Agradezco al universo por haber encontrado este rinconcito lleno de magia. Es la casa de unos ingleses, que lleva adelante proyecto artísticos, mercadillos, música en directo y un bar.

Fuimos el domingo. Había bufé de comida (muchas opciones veganas) y música en directo. Nos servimos y fuimos a sentarnos al patio para ver el concierto. El bufé libre cuesta 15€ sin bebida y por 12€ puedes servirte entrante, principal y postre. Las bebidas son económicas.

Tienen una página web donde puedes ver qué actividades hay cada día.

Un sitio lleno de color, paz y respeto.

Volveremos!!

Delightful secluded place

Was slightly worried about coming to Spain as a vegetarian, I did not need to worry when I found this amazing place. Visited today with my family for a sharing veggie platter, and great cider, and had the most delicious lunch in a stunning setting. Relaxing atmosphere with beautiful artwork all around, currently showcasing a great artist. Frozen veggie food available to take away. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, we will be returning! Use Google maps to find this place, it is really worth it!

Wonderful hidden gem

La Vaqueria is my favourite place in Axarquia, the food, atmosphere and host Sue are all superb and welcoming. They also host wellness days, yoga sessions, art classes etc. I love to visit and relax in the gardens and see the art that Sue has created. 5*

Een leuk restaurant aan de rand van het dorp. Gezellig alternatieve sfeer onder een schaduwrijke buitenplaats waar je kan zitten met kinderen en vriendelijke service.

Hidden gem well worth a visit anytime. Fantastic friendly atmosphere with home cooked fresh food prepared by Josie & Su at a great price, catering for all tastes. Relax under the Avocado trees with a bottle of wine, excellent food and some brilliant live music. Now a regular spot for us, we will be back...

Best place ever

I love this place so much. Great food, (a lot of it from their garden) great music, people and a range of different events every week. Arts, crafts and magnificent garden to spent a few hours reading or playing cards and being completely looked after by the beautiful sue and her team.

This little Hiden gem tucked away, a little way inland is worth finding. The Sunday buffet food was plentyful and excellent. The Gypsy Flamenco couldn't make it so can't comment on them, but we will catch them another time.
The two English ladies there are warm ,friendly and welcoming. Sitting eating in the garden under the trees, with the clucking of the chickens in the background is very relaxing and we will definitely go back.

Uitgebreid geluncht met jonge kinderen

We hebben hier een paar uur lang genoten van de heerlijke quiches, gehaktballetjes, zefgemaakte humus, kip en uiteraard de citroencake en chocoladetaart. Wat een feest! Ook de kinderen (7, 5 en 3 jaar) bleven maar smullen. Onder de bananenboom in het zonnetje genoten we van de live muziek, terwijl de kinderen in de yogaruimte met duplo speelden. Omdat het zondag was, hebben we maar meteen wat maaltijden uit de vriezer van Sue meegenomen voor ‘s avonds.
