Piazza Prampolini is very central and full of charm. It is perfectly rectangular in shape and overlooks historic civil and religious buildings. In the middle of one of the long sides is the cathedral with a curious facade. On one of the short sides is the Town Hall. And then numerous bars, restaurants and shops.

Beautiful and central town square, elegant buildings, bars and shops, many ideas to take pictures and admire the buildings around, it is worth stopping without haste, there are various shops, meeting place for many people.

You are in the historic center impossible not to see or find it, always full of people and tourists at any time of day or night. Around the square there are many bars, restaurants and souvenir shops.

Meeting place. Headquarters srl town hall within which is the tricolor room. Very popular and venue was the events if present

We were on May 25, 2024 in Reggio Emilia for the AC/DC concert. City not appropriate for large events, in fact the night bus service does not exist, and you have to reach the place that goes from Campovolo where the concerts are held to your hotels in the city on foot (in our case about 5 km). Taxis practically non-existent or inadequate for large groups and events. Tall grass in the flowerbeds or traffic islands that gave me a sense of the city's indecorum. As soon as I got off at the station, there was a police patrol chasing two immigrants, and around the station there was decay and the smell of urine everywhere. Luckily the center of Reggio Emilia is beautiful and well kept. I will be careful not to return to this city!

Visited during the evening mid week. Its a very impressive square with grand architecture all around.
A must visit place, looked great light up at night and I imagine full of activity during the day.

It is the main square of the city, the one where the most important buildings overlook and the protagonist place of the events for the celebrations of the Tricolore. Not very large but well proportioned and elegant, it hosts the market on a weekly basis and on certain occasions.

Beautiful square, smacks of history! You can imagine how beautiful it was when it lived in the 18th century. Today it might be worth enriching it with some statues from the period to perhaps make it less empty.

The main square of Reggio is surrounded on all sides by important monuments, furthermore its discreet accesses make it very quiet and livable.

Yes, a hybrid of styles and construction periods of even notable properties. The first glimpse of sensations without delving into a historical study that should be verified. A tour:
- Museum with commemorative plaques;
- notable church with entrance from a different era embellished with marble and columns on the facade of the building all on the much older square side. The ancient fairy-tale-like church stands out!
-building with bell tower and clock: the entire shop on the ground floor and therefore history/commerce clashes “the show must go one!
-ditto opposite side of the church;
- today in the square; gazebo owners trade regional products
