If you are unlucky to forget something on the boat, you can’t count on getting any help. They are arrogant and unhelpful. Had expected better service.

In a hectic environment with lots of guests, this restaurant at Colorline Fantasy manages to deliver Ocanic to full pot.
I went for the flagship in their menu, Dry aged entrecôte with cream granulated potatoes.
The steak was perfectly fried with a little crunsh when you take a bit of beautiful steak.
Their spice butter was a great experience, rarely I get so good homemade.
The service was very pleasant and serviceminded.
This was King. Thanks for the food.

Book on the Norwegian website. Much cheaper than on the Danish because they rain in Norwegian kroner. And if you have chosen the economy ticket on the Danish website, the ticket cannot be cancelled, the table catches. A strange system.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever been. The carpets throughout the ship were filthy, there was a pubic hair in my bed, and the staff got really upset when I asked to changed rooms because of the smell. Would never go again.

I booked a mini cruise Kiel-Oslo-Kiel. All around a great getaway. Even if it's "just" a ferry, there's a little cruise feeling. Inside cabin small but absolutely sufficient for two nights. Dinner at the Grand Buffet was excellent. An extensive selection in excellent quality. I had booked the drinks package. The staff were very attentive and it was also regularly refilled.
Overall, the prices of drinks on board are slightly higher, but still within an acceptable range.
So if you want to take a little break on a ship, this trip is highly recommended.

We booked this crossing with an overnight stay in Oslo. We really liked it. You just have to know that the ships are 17 years old, they are ferries and not pure cruise ships. But there is a lot to offer. On the way out we had burgers, enjoyed the live music in the pub and then danced in the club. In between Shopping (clothes, groceries) was the order of the day. On the way back we were in the Observation Deck, where there was a lot of dancing again with live music. We also booked the Schlemmer Buffet in the evening.
What definitely needs improvement is the vegan offer of food, which unfortunately is virtually nonexistent. The Burger Bar had a green salad and fries. In the other restaurants (pizza, sushi) I also found no alternatives. The gourmet buffet only offers salad, vegetables, fries, bread, fruit. For dessert there was only one ice sorbet variety and one dessert, but unfortunately this did not taste good. For 35 euros it is not worth it for vegans.

Does anyone know if the ferry is generally full? I don't wish to make a reservation in advance because my understanding is that if you miss the ferry it's non refundable. We are traveling the last week of September and I'm not sure exactly what day we will need to cross from Kristiansand to Hirtshal.

I bought our tickets literally the day before and it was pretty much space everywhere except in the seating rest area.. by September should be even better..
