Our visit to Aareslucht was truly a balm for the soul. 🏞️This place holds something magical – breathtaking nature, crystal-clear air, and walking through Aareslucht above the river and along the cliffs is simply amazing. 🤩
The service at the local bistro was wonderful. Special thanks to the amazing team, waitress who was incredibly attentive & helpful. She brought a unique, rock-and-roll energy to the place that made our visit truly memorable. Was clear she genuinely enjoyed her work, and her friendly nature turned a simple meal into a memorable moment.
The guy who took care of the register brought such a relaxed energy to the place. He also took the time to chat with us and made the experience feel welcoming.
Aareslucht is a place where time seems to stand still, where we can breathe, unwind, and simply be.
It’s a place that fills you with energy, peace and inspiration. 🫶

Wonderful half day exploring the elevated walkways built into the limestone cliffs above the rushing waters below of Aare Gorge! Easy to arrive by train at either end of the gorge. The walk through the gorge is about a mile with gorgeous views of the river below and the soaring cliffs above. It gets narrow in some places and in a few you actually go through tunnels. The water is a beautiful color on sunny days. You can walk back the way you came or catch the train from either end.

Great walk! Lovely views and nice coffee shop at the end of the walk. Couldn’t use credit cards at the little gift shop at the far end, but could use cards at the larger gift shop where the main car park was

Not too busy and a really nice place to spend an hour or so.
Would have liked to come back in the evening to see it lit up.
You can walk for as far or as short as you like and then either exit at the cafe and walk back via the road or, re-trace your steps back to the vistior centre.
The cafe at the 'open' opposite end was unexpectedly nice - good coffee, local cider and cakes.
Free parking is a real bonus.
A visit here and the Reichenbach Falls funicular can be easily combined, and there is a discount ticket for both.

If you don't think nature does much, take a look at what water can do over millions of years. Amazing, almost enchanted in places, and a sight to marvel at. Convenient to get to, with a railway station at either end along with a coffee and a sticky bun.

Probably the tightest gorge I've seen - excellent. And great for a rainy day. But would recommend starting at the east end (contrary to what I'd read) because then it would get more and more impressive rather then less so. Also the ticket lady was not honest with us - we bought a joint ticket for Reichenbach Falls too, but contrary to what she told us, it turns out you can walk there for free rather than taking the funicular.

A stunning place, a long path that is worth the time and money. We bought conjoined tickets to Reichenbach Falls. We went to the entrance at nearest Aareschlucht West Station. It had a shorter line, and it means that you walk down the gorge

Very impressive and easily done with the stroller, wheelchair or rollator. It is best to come to the opening very early. Because around noon it gets quickly full and then it only goes on in the goose march and taking pictures is not so good. When it's hot, it's pleasantly cool. Parking spaces no problem!

High rise gorge by the river Aar. You walk along a 1400m wooden walkway attached to one side. The water is very shallow. It can be traveled in about 30-45min depending on the people there are. There is the option to walk back and forth or do one of the two by train, included with the ticket price. Price 12CHF and 16CHF if combined with Reichenbach Falls. Opening hours 15/06 to 15/09 from 08:30-18:30. The car can be parked free of charge next to the ticket booth.

The gorge or throat of the Aare, is a whim of time carved in limestone. Those times that are not imaginable for our short-lived passage on earth. It began carving long before man is man among ice, glaciers and the current river, which continues indolently its path of erosion. Imperceptible to a man's entire life. Today it is a noise and they are very net-friendly images. One of the most Instagrammable Swiss attractions, well justified has its fame.
It can be visited safely through tunnels and walkways. Refreshing activity for the summer. Caution must be exercised because in the part of the internal tunnels in the mountain the humidity can make the floor slippery, in some sector also somewhat low, Nothing risky, you can do with boys, is well cared for the road; that yes with good footwear. In the end, retrace your steps without leaving if you left a vehicle in the driveway. There is little light in some sectors, so professional SLR cameras bring out...a light and advantage. Highly recommended.

Could you please advise exactly where the Lammi Pass trail begins at the Aare Gorge West end?
Is the trail signposted at the station exit?

Planning to visit next September. So, my questions are, 1) Can I walk to the gorge with dogs? 2) if I can't enter with dogs where it's nice to visit nearby so I can have some walk with them and 3) to see the gorge you need to take the train or you can walk? and how long approx? Thanks

How long does it take to visit the Gorge? I was thinking of in the summer making a day of seeing Aareslucht, the Reichenbach falls, and then going down to the Gelmersee. Is this too much one day if I am staying in Luzern?
Yazıldığı tarih: 25 Şubat 2019
We did Reichenbach and A are gorge comfortably in one day. It does take about 2 hours to walk the Aare gorge but this leaves no time for lòking at the sights and I treating points along the way.
