This was a fantastic experience and highly recommended. We got to visit two very different wineries and learn more about the wine-making process from passionate people, whilst sampling four wines at each destination. If you're into wine definitely check this out.

Fantastic afternoon spent visiting 2 vineyards. Anna our tour guide was excellent and spoke perfect English and was very knowledgeable about the regions wines. The wines were lovely and we given good servings more than I expected. We booked it as the weather forecast was bad and it was a great thing to do as it's indoors but equally I'd say go anytime.

We loved our tour and tasting, it was the perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon in Verona. We were lucky enough to go and visit the Franchini winery, a small family-run business. Both our driver and the host of our wine-tasting were fantastic, very welcoming and we learned so much about the Valpolicella region and the wine itself. We sampled five different wines, you're also able to buy and ship bottles if there are any you really enjoy, but there was no pressure at all to do this.
I'd really recommend this tour, rain or shine, it's a great way to spend half a day.

An absolutely fabulous afternoon. There were just 5 of us on the tour in a (thankfully air conditioned) mini bus and we went to two wineries. The hosts at both were very knowledgeable and the tastings were excellent with accompanying cheese and meats. We had 5 wines at each and had an excellent afternoon.

Fantastic wine tour with sightseeing and wine tasting.
The guide Jacob really delivered on his first trip alone as a guide. Well delivered.
Great tour. Very nice place and good wine tasting with good accessories that highlighted the different wines.
Italian sing-along in the minibus on the way home :-)
Strongly recommended. Lucky if you get Jacob as your guide.

Of all the tours we took in Italy, this was by far the most expensive company with the worst value. We booked them for two days and would have canceled after the first had it not been for 3 wine tours (and our anniversary) on the second day. Pagus Tours was more about checking off the boxes and processing you rather than creating an experience. They said A/C van, check - if you are the driver as there were no vents in the back. The van has been around for a while, it was a rough ride with a window whistling as it didn’t seal properly. They said you would have a host/sommelier - that was a stretch. Our host was nice enough (when she wasn’t completely silent for much of the time) but not really a host - more of a driver which in some cases we felt unsafe as she tailgated terribly on the highway. She made no commentary as we drove past places so we had no idea what we were looking at, and she was NOT a sommelier (we asked). We were there to learn more about Italian wines and was disappointed that we knew more than the “teacher”. Two of the wineries were great experiences but the third, was a father/son operation. Again, they didn’t speak one word of English and we missed half of what he was saying.
For our first tour, we requested them to set up seeing a Parmesan cheese factory, balsamic vinegar production and Parma ham factory – what a mistake. The Parmesan cheese factory was actually amazing – highly recommend if you can arrange it yourself or with a different company. For the balsamic vinegar, we were taken to a dilapidated farmyard where an older man did it as a hobby. He did seem super sweet and happy to have us, but it was a little strange to say the least. The worst part was he spoke NO English and we were at the mercy of our host’s translation, and we know we missed a LOT of what he was saying as he went on for a long time and then she had to try to summarize - you could tell she struggled. Because it was Saturday, the Parma ham factory was closed so we were taken to a Charcuterie MUSEUM (YES, museum). This was the last stop around 1:30. After doing the small tour from a guide, we were provided with samples of the meat. We were the only ones there and it was the most awkward situation ever. We were served a small glass of sparkling wine, the meat platter and some bread sticks. Our host sat at our table watching us eat, while the two people who worked there stood a few feet behind starting at us like we were in the zoo. It was awfully awkward and extremely uncomfortable. The spread was a lot and we were pretty full. The tour said lunch was included so we figured that was it. As we drove away, our host says, “let’s go for lunch now”. Like what??? Now it is like 3:00. What a disaster, we had no clue what was going on and no communication from the host as to the schedule.
As mentioned, these two days were SUPER expensive (we had three weeks of Italy tours to compare it to). The parmesan factory and the balsamic place were both free, so I do not know where the expense came from. At the end of the day, please save your money and book with someone else; I cannot convey what a less than desirable experience overall these two days were.

Hi Antoniobi, March 19th can be a beautiful sunny and warm day, or a cloudy and cold one, surely March is not a crowded month. The countryside colors are changing to green and blu and in the vineyards shoots are coming out. About prices and schedules of the tours, better you send us an email and we'll give you all the details. Ciao!

Qual é a melhor época do ano para fazer o passeio? Novembro e Dezembro vale a pena fazer este tour?
Yazıldığı tarih: 31 Ekim 2017
Each period has got pros and cons. In November and mostly December the nature is sleeping, and the landscape is poor of colours, but in this period the grapes for the Amarone are drying in the fruttai, so you can see directly one of the phases which make the Amarone, and Recioto, so great and unique.

Group wine tours start at 9.00 in the morning and at 14.00 in the afternoon. They last half day or full day. Wineries are selected by Pagus, but mostly they are small family businesses.
