It was clean here. I came here an hour before the departure of my train, so I walked around the building. Almost everywhere I met someone who was cleaning here.
There were many shops everywhere, even an tourist information center was here. There were lockers where you could leave your luggage.
Everything was perfectly signposted, I didn't have the problem finding the platform from which my train left. Besides to the usual information boards, you could find the schedule of departures of all trains throughout the day here, so you know many hours in advance from which platform your train will be leaving. Also, on the platforms, the information boards not only showed the departure of the current train, but also the departures of the following trains from the same platform. I found this passenger information system very handy.

The main station is about ok in terms of practicality. You will find a paid toilet, a few shops (including those with souvenirs, but they are nice bats, I recommend buying elsewhere) and some kind of food shop. Platforms are clear.

The station is large, spacious and one can easily find one's way around it. Here you can find everything from food to cosmetics. The surroundings and the station itself are clean and absolutely beautiful in appearance.

This is a place where obviously you get your connection trains, buses and trams to reach your destination. I have been through this place many times and found it quite pleasant.

The Dresden Cenral Railway Station shouldnt't be your main point of attraction when visiting Dresden, but it is a decent place to spend some time while waiting for your bus or train to leave. The architechture is beautiful and the station is easy to navigate. Prepare to pay for going to the toilet though; this seems to be a standard throughout Germany. There is an excellent restaurant called Marché located inside the station, with a generous and relatively cheap buffet with lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well. Definitely worth a visit!

yes, bus to other city also stopped here. we take a flixbus from dresden to munchen and we can choose where we want to board from. theres two option. one is in neustadt (old station) and the other is dresden central station.
not only flixbus, but DB Bus and blabla bus passengers also can depart from a small bus stop outside this station.
it has plenty of cafe and store (like sephora and sport equipment store which i forget the name) and beautiful train miniature.

Beautiful in its appearance from the outside, it blends well with other historical buildings in this city. The main hall has various coffee shops, bakeries etc. Information on the bombing of Dresden and the damage and restoration of this building are depicted on various walls. The station is across from tram stops, hotels and the main shopping centre. Lifts are available to the well signed platforms.

When does Dresden Central Railway Station open in the morning? I have an early morning bus arriving there, and was thinking of waiting at the station a bit before starting on my next destination.
