Never return phone calls or emails!! Owed a refund. Still nothing received. No updates. Ignored. Chevron used to be good years ago. Avoid at all costs!

I have travelled to Malta and Gozo many times with Chevron and have always found them first rate .The in resort service is also excellent.

Absolutely appalling company, we had to cancel 2 holidays, we were told they would get funds off Ryanair, 2nd cancellation a year later we were told to get our own off them, which we did. We were sent 2 cheques from Ryanair, we now know one of them was meant for Chevron, this was back in May (over 6 months ago) chevron only now contacted us to tell us that one of them cheques was meant for them, so they told us we had to pay it back in 2 Installments by end of January!!! When I explained I'm happy to pay that back if it was wrongly sent to us but unfortunately my husband has injured back after it was broken some time ago so needs doctors to make sure he can go back to work safely... meaning I have one income so I said I couldn't pay it in the 2 installments they have suggested.

Instead of arranging or resolving with me they have simply said they will send debt collectors to me and that I will pay more than the original amount with debt collectors.. how can they get away with taking half my monthly salary in this situation, won't even wait till my husband is back at work so I can afford it!.
I'm happy to share emails showing their lack of cooperation for anyone wondering wether to book with them.

The holiday in question was canceled due to Covid-19 like thousands of other holidays. We promptly refunded the client, who kindly signed a document authorising Ryanair to refund us (the Tour Operator) directly for cancelled flights to the value of £1068.74. Ryanair mistakingly sent the cheque direct to the client for reasons unknown. After months chasing Ryanair, they advised us that they sent cheque to the client, who had promptly cashed it. Once we realised Ryanair's error, we contacted the client, requesting they return our refund as they now received two refunds for the same flights. £1068.74 represents a significant loss for our small travel company, at a time when we are already experiencing huge operating losses due to Covid-19. Client's first response was to contact her solicitor (presumably at great expense?). We recommended the Citizens Advice Bureau as a cheaper option, who would dispel her idea that "I'm sure you can understand this is over 6 months ago now which is over the 30 day threshold to any refund” She then offered £50 a month, which was simply not proportionate to the money owed. The client's claim that we asked for 2 instalments by the end of January is simply not true. We first contacted the client about this matter on 3 December 2021. We asked for 2 payments on 1st Feb 22 and again on 1st April 2022. This has effectively given the client 5 months the repay the money. We did receive the payment, due on 01Feb22, of £568.78 - the payment was immediately recorded on our ‘manage my booking’ website portal as is normal with all client payments - we apologise if Mrs Gahan was not aware of this. Yesterday at 10.46, Mrs Gahan emailed asking for a confirmation invoice - we sent a copy of the confirmation invoice available on the portal at 11.52. If a client wants to make an official complaint, we do ask for it to be sent by email or post. Natasha E, you got caught out, banking a cheque for £1068.74 that was not yours. Please don’t trash the reputation of our company because we asked you to return money owed.
