We visited the bookshop today having read lovely things about it. This shop is simply wonderful, so many different quirky areas and books I've not seen anywhere else.
Our daughter was quite poorly during our visit and the staff really looked after us, which on a busy Saturday afternoon is really going the extra mile.
Needless to say that we all purchased books.
I'd like to end by saying thank you for your kindness.

I love an individualist book shop, very interesting selection and display. Intended on not buying, left with 5. The wellness dogs were a nice touch too. Staff enthusiastic

If you are going to be near Bath, 2hrs at a Mr B's Reading Spa is a 'must do' for any reader seeking to broaden their appetite. Advanced booking essential (some way ahead) and won't be regretted!!

Could not recommend this beautiful independent book store enough to anyone looking for something to add to a relaxing day in Bath. Immaculate throughout with brilliant staff - shout out to Sam for the recommendations.

The best bookshop in the U.K., hands-down. After being a fan online for many years, I finally visited Bath, and this place was top of the list to get to. I wasn't at all disappointed, with floors of books completely different to the typical bestseller lists found in most bookshops. Loads of independent titles, quirky displays, new books, and exciting finds. However, the cherry on the proverbial book cake has to be the staff recommendations. Mr B's prides itself on staff recommendations, and I was very pleased with my experiences, where a wonderful, fun and friendly staff member essentially spent one-on-one time with me in the store on a busy day and found out all about what I like to read, and piled me high with books recommended to me. I felt like the only customer in the store despite the fact that it was busy, and I purchased the whole stack, with so many new authors I had never heard about before. I was genuinely so sad to leave and I can't wait to visit again soon!

After seeing my niece and mother love their reading spa, I finally had one bought for me…and loved it! 2hours of talking about books, looking at books with the wonderful Susan- she chose a huge pile of books for me to go through and I could’ve taken them all home- I’m working my way through them and whilst some are books I wouldn’t have thought to look at I’ve completely enjoyed and loved reading every one so far . I would utterly recommend a reading spa for any book lover, not only do you get to be introduced to a host of new authors, you get to relax in an amazing independent book shop and talk to a person with a vast knowledge of books and who somehow matched me with books I’d never considered but am thoroughly enjoying- it’s magic….thank you Susan for a wonderful morning and to the shop manager for keeping my husband entertained…complete 100% recommendation from me.

Visiting this book shop is an absolute joy. The selection of books is amazing, and the staff clearly care deeply about books and matching people to the right stories. The personalised subscription they offer is very reasonable for what it is, and the whole place has a welcoming and inviting atmosphere. Wish I lived closer so I could visit more regularly!

This is an incredible bookshop. There is a large range of books to browse from, and cozy armchairs scattered on the top floor for a quiet reading experience. All the staff were brilliant and extremely friendly; they are happy to have a chat and recommend books based on your preferences. This is the first time I walked out of a bookshop with a stack of books. This is a must visit for any booklover. The bookshop also offers Reading Spas (which have to be booked way in advance), which sound amazing. I cannot recommend this enough. It was an absolute pleasure to visit Mr B's Book Emporium and the highlight of my visit to Bath. Even my husband who lightly dabbles in books enjoyed the experience (and that says a lot!)

I was given a gift card for this store, and being completely honest, I wasn’t aware the store was there before! But I am beyond thrilled I know about it now! I was a little skeptical about going in because I had always thought of book stores as being for people who know exactly what they want, and not being one of those people, I was nervous about being a burden! But I was put at ease immediately! I was honest that I didn’t really know what I was looking for, and after a couple of questions, the staff were gathering books for me to consider! At one point, there were 4 people helping me, all more than happy to offer their input and recommendations! I ended up leaving with 3 books! I am very excited to read the ones I have, and will definitely be returning, now I know this absolute gem exists! Cannot recommend highly enough!
