Tachbrook Market is a street market open Monday-Saturday based at the pedestrianised end of Tachbook Street in London's Victoria district just off Warwick Way. During the working week it is a street food location with a range of the excellent world cuisines. Of a Saturday there is more of a focus on traditional market fare like fruit & veg.
The market is not particularly large as the pedestrianised end of the street is relatively short but it is a good selection of food choices including Thai, falafels, Japanese, and the occasional slightly less well-known option like Jordanian. Given it includes some of the best types of food, it is remarkably busy even on a blustery winter's day during lunchtime. Queues can get fairly long so it is important to time the visit effectively.
The food choices are pretty good. This is not the best in the area as Strutton Ground is outstanding but without that comparison it would be an impressive set of street food stalls in its own right.
There is a bench so it is possible for a small number of people to sit but in general this is a standing spot with most people walking away after getting their food. Despite the throughput the market is in reasonable shape with the street not being overly littered.
Fruit & veg is available at times including on a Saturday. A fish stall is also in evidence. It is hard to tell how good this is when there is an average Sainsbury's nearby and a corner shop that sells good quality stuff including some decent scotch bell peppers.

Der Tachbrook Market ist einer der vielen Street Food Märkte in London. Leider ist er ziemlich klein und beschränkt sich auf ein paar Stände mit vorwiegend asiatischem Essen. Keinen gesonderten Besuch wert, es sei denn man ist sowieso gerade in der Gegend und hat Hunger. Wer einen wirklich sehr großen Street Food Markt besuchen will ist auf der Leather Lane besser aufgehoben.

Not a massive selection (8-10) of street food vendors. Hardest thing is always making your selection as you'll find most options will appeal. I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Outstanding value as well. Food is freshly prepared and portion size very generous

Small market between Pimlico and Victoria stations with a small selection of street food stalls from Thai, Indian to Middle Eastern.
Whilst the market is open Monday to Saturday between 10.00 to 18.00, it is worth remembering that the street food tends to finish around 14.00 to 14.30.
There isn't anywhere obvious in the area to sit down so expect to have to use a kerb or steps.

Freshly cooked, really nice Pad Thai. Extra greens (£1) or add chicken to prawns. You get a big portion of lovely Pad Thai for £5-6.

Come here for reasonibly priced street food - recommend kalgar kebab - go for the large mixed kebab with salad (no bread or rice as I eat low carb!)

No Passport To Pimlico required to eat here. Lots of stalls selling street food from all over the world albeit better quality as reflected in the prices. The prices of which are a fraction of any nearby restaurant. Nowhere to really sit down and enjoy it. The fish from this market is of very good quality.

Tachbrook Market is a great place to head for when you get that hunger thing happening. There are a wide variety of multi-cultural food stalls to choose from including Japanese, Turkish, Jordanian, South American-style and more besides. You can also get your meat and fish supplies in at the regular butcher and fishmonger. Don't forget your fruit and veg too. You can even find various clothes stalls there during the week. Every now and then, you see a new stall appear. You never know what's going to appear next. Nice place with friendly stallholders.

This market has developed in the last few years and has more hot food to offer as well as a new covered seating area on busier days.
There are a variety of foods on offer from South American, Jordanian and Japanese. My favourite is the Turkish grill where the lamb and chicken are delicious and portions generous and filling and good value too. Sometimes samples are offered while you wait/make up your mind, this is generally the case at many of the stalls.
The hot food market is flanked by those selling clothing, hardware, a shoe repairer/key cutter and fruit and veg in pots (though the resident market greengrocer is very good). These shops that line the market are awash with harder to find ingredients vegetables and also a Halal butcher in the back.
Queues for hot food can get busy at lunchtime when the majority of business is done. Things are being packed up by 2/2.30pm. So no evening trade here.
The market is well maintained and no mess left at the end of the day.
