On first seeing this bar I was a bit apprehensive. But then we went in. The staff were super. The beer prices were not London prices. And the food was awesome. I had a burger and it was lovely. My colleague had a curry. He has a lot of curries at proper Indian restaurants, and he said it was the best he'd had in a very long time. Toilets were a bit whiffy but clean enough. All in all is a definite place to visit, ready, drink and be merry!

Came to meet up with friends from work. Had a brilliant night, so layed back atmosphere, by the end of the night everyone was talking dancing singing, met some lovely people in there...ian is amazing will definitely be back 😉

Our magazine and online directory launch party was a great success. We wanted something less stuffy and costly than the big hotels and so glad we found So! A great team provided great service, food and hospitality.
If you’re visiting Excel for a show jump in an Uber and pop over the other side of the dock, better food, better prices and lovely people.
We will be back!

I went here for a meal with my Partner for his 60th birthday while we were staying in London. The Owners Son was very welcoming, and had gone to the trouble of putting some birthday balloons up around our table.
The flavours of the food were delicious, and plenty of it. My Partner said that it was the best steak he had had in a long time, it was cooked to perfection. My Partner received a complimentary slice of cake too to wish him a happy birthday.
The prices are very reasonable, the background music was great and the hospitality was wonderful.
Across the Thames via a footbridge from Excel London with great views. Seating inside or out overlooking the river.
The reason I only gave it a 4 rating is because it would of been nice to have 2 more main choices on the menu. There was 3 choices plus endless pizza / burgers choices but one of the main choices had sold out leaving steak and chicken caesar to choose from.
We will definitely go again on our return to London Docklands

Arrivati fuori orario, decidono di non chiudere piu la cucina e ci fanno da mangiare!!! Un posto consigliato, vicino al Tamisa, con delle persone squisite!! Si mangia veramente bene!!!

We only visited the bar for drinks but were very impressed. The bar owner is a really lovely man who couldn’t do enough to help us. I had the So! Special cocktail and it was delicious and so nice to sit right by the water and enjoy the beautiful views of London. We look forward to returning.

Ordered through Uber eats the classic chicken tikka masala. Supposed to be in a tomato and yoghurt sauce. The sauce was a brown liquid, clearly no yoghurt in it. Phoned up the restaurant to complain and was told they never put yoghurt in it anyway! Change the menu description, get some training in customer service. Better still don’t order from here.

Staying at the Novotel across the dock we decided to brace the poor weather, cross the bridge and visit So bar and restaurant and we were not disappointed!
Served at our table drinks and food the curries are authentic and generous portions, a little wait but this was being cooked to order and to our liking.
Would definitely recommend this place and definitely worth a walk either round the dock or over the bridge if your feeling fit.

Partners 50th birthday and wanted something other than a chain. Staying at the Sunborn Hotel so just a short walk across the bridge to this great little find. Food for all (two fussy kids!) and delicious. Not busy which is a shame as this is a great restaurant.

We stayed a night at the Travelodge for London City Airport and wanted somewhere to eat. Looking at Trip Advisor customer reviews we decided to walk to the So Bar and Restaurant. The host/owner Anna was a marvellous maitre d" and having eaten one of her curries we have no reluctance to say...go and eat here if you want a good meal, local interest and a great atmosphere.
