I PRE BOOKED a table for 3 - when we get there the bar is half empty and the person we spoke to couldn’t be more uninterested in doing his job - sat us at a table that would barely fit one let alone 3 so i asked about moving somewhere else and he says that ”it’s half seated half standing” - there were literally empty tables around us so we just moved bcs sitting on top of other people isn’t fair to them. It’s also literally a sauna in there. overall not impressed to be honest and this is the second time i’ve had a bad experience at a Simmons Bar

I have been to this place many times but I think it has turned into something else. Never going there again and never recommending it to anyone. They need to hire professional people as their security/bouncers, not someone acting like a big shot like they own you. And when you confront them they threaten to not let you in. It’s not even that big or great of a place.

Great tunes and great drinks deals- a must visit if you’re in the area!

Absolute amazing place
The staff are amazing so friendly I came here with my wife and friends and they greeted us so well.
From when we walked it we felt at home the staff was so helpful and kind,
I was only in London for 3 night unfortunately but I would 100% recommend this place to everyone honestly
This place was such a vibe

Great that it's open so late on a Sunday - not everyone works 9-5 Monday-Friday! Cocktails are average and definitely don't contain much alcohol but it's a good venue nonetheless.

Great little bar with lovely cocktails! Good tunes on a Saturday night and a quieter vibe during the week. Only downside is that each bartender makes the drinks different. Definitely would recommend!

I was in Simmons bar with friends drinking a Long Island ice tea. Upon sipping the drink, I felt a foreign object in my mouth. Instantly spitting it into my hand, I mistakingly thought it was a piece of clear plastic and pressed it between my finger and thumb. It wasn’t plastic, it was a broken piece of glass which impaled into my thumb causing it to bleed.
Naturally I went to inform the staff behind that I had found a piece of broken glass in my drink. I was dumbfounded to receive the reply “What do you want then, a free drink?”. This wasn’t really the reason I was complaining. I wanted them to be more concerned by the fact that this was potentially something incredibly dangerous. To add insult, someone who I assumed to be a senior member of staff walked over and informed that there had been an incident earlier and they must of missed a bit.
I’d be very interested to know if this was reported as RIDDOR. I’m not being melodramatic when I say this could potentially kill someone.

I always felt so comfortable in Simmons. But twice the secure at the door and no the inside one made me feel so inferior and I am in my 30. He is a horrible human being. He gets involved in other people’s business and to make matters worse he even gets involved in your relationships to humiliate you and make you feel so inferior. I have loved coming to Simmons with my husband and most times with my girls. It won’t happen again. I cannot believe how their security treated us. I am still gobsmacked that someone would have hurt and still no one came out to help us from him. He made me feel so weak and disgusted. Please be careful. Try and get hold on a stuff member and not security team.

Do they charge to book for a table of 10 people on a Saturday night from around 9:30?

No there's no charge we just ask for a card authorisation of £50, this is only redeemed in the event of a last minute cancellation/no show of the whole party.
