We went to the Friday night Close Up show . It was a great evening - all the magicians were amazing , everyone was welcoming , the history contained in the building is interesting and there's a bar .
Would really recommend for a different night out .

An excellent evening of close up magic hosted by John Conway, starring four world class members of the Magic Circle.
The building is a treasure trove of magical artefacts spanning over a century, including items from some of the greats.

The show was incredible, all the acts were spot on - Marcus Morgan was particularly good, would definitely recommend looking him up (he was also in a video with the Sidemen recently on YouTube). The venue is very atmospheric and all the performers were very talented, would definitely go again.

The close up magic show made me question if these were actually wizards of the Harry Potter persuasion messing with muggles for fun. The acts were downright spectacular despite being inches away from the action. Definitely the best blend of wonder and confusion you'll find.
Highly recommend.

We had a great and memorable experience at one of the 'Close up at the Magic Circle' evenings, which we'd gone to to mark a special family birthday. From the moment the door to the Magic Circle Club opened we were made to feel really welcome, and were very well looked after. Since numbers are restricted on these evenings it felt like a very personal occasion and you really did get up close to the magicians! We were treated to 4 really impressive acts, during which the audience were very much involved. Before the show started and during the interval we were given an interesting guided tour by a lovely man of the Magic Circle's museum and another interesting room in the building. So, all in all it was a fantastic evening! A big thank you to all the comedians and staff for entertaining and looking after us so well!

Great night out watching magic at close hand and on stage. We enjoyed touring the museum before the show. Fantastic fun for families - bar also available. In a world of high technology this old art form still packs a punch! The magicians clearly love their craft and seeing others enjoy it. For my tech hungry kids this was a wonderful experience.

Amazing evening with the family watching 'Close-Up at The Magic Circle'. A birthday treat for my other half, we brought our 2 girls (11 & 14). The intimate and atmospheric setting means you can watch the live magic performances, be part of the show and learn about the history of this craft. I have to say there were plenty of laughs, wow's and stunned silences.
Split over several floors, there's a small museum containing artefacts, a bar and staff are super friendly. An opportunity to discover the late and great famous members of the Magic Circle - including a current member of the royal family!

来这边可以观看魔术师精彩的表演！馆内陈设也非常好，感觉进入到一个奇幻世界~来这边交通也比较方便，在英国待了半个月吧，全程坐火车，没想到这边火车是非常方便的。在trainpal买了railcard，最近输RC777F这个码还打八折，交通上来说是没问题的，希望能帮到来英国玩的其他小伙伴！

The room which is over several floors is filled with posters and objects from the world of magic. There is a small museum in the basement. We had a tour of the room before the show started. Show with four magicians who performed by turn. Very impressive performance of all four. The whole family was very pleased. Recommended!

Went to the show called magic "Close up" in the Devant room with my partner! What an awesome evening!! Magicians were so welcoming and it felt like personal experiences! Mind blowing! My partner is still speechless but had the most memorable night thanks to everyone there! Will be back for sure! As sure as a cat is a hairy beast! Brilliant! Highly Highly recommended!

No it's a low cost ticketed event. The income keeps the place open. Check the website as the museum may be free in the day. It's a jewel of a place full of history and some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I plan to go back next year on my birthday 🎂

The Magic Circle website says there are two performances (on various dates) lasting about two and a half hours:
Matinee - doors open at 1330 with the show starting at 1430 and finishing about 1700
Evening - doors open at 1800 with the show starting at 1900 and finishing about 2130
Finish times are guides rather than ‘hard and fast’

As it is situated near a busy railway station,there are lots of food places nearby.There are a few small cafes in the area too.Check out London theatreland guide for places to eat before or after shows.

I went in the website to find tickets for February but I didn’t see anything listed for January or February

I have checked the web site too and you are right. There are no shows advertised until March 2019. They may be in the planning stage but you can contact the Magic Circle directly through their web site (Contact Us) and ask them if any other shows are planned for early 2019. I hope this helps!
