We went to this floating park with a group of youngsters and we had a good time. We had lunch here after walking along the canal. There are rules for using this park, such as no dogs, no smoking, and obviously children must be supervised . It’s a very popular place to have lunch, there are places to sit or people were sitting on the artificial grass.
This is s great little place just to wander round and it’s just behind Paddington station, so easy to get to.

Unexpected brunch but very tasty. Price very very affordable and servers helpful. Rich plates and good smoothies. Nice location too close to the canal

The Grand Union Canal runs from Birmingham through the Home Counties and West London until it reaches Little Venice. From there a branch goes to Paddington so this would have been a link to the centre of London.
It has been refurbished and there are some large office blocks in the area. You can also get onto Paddington station from here.
There are some trendy street food places in the area as well as and M&S, Tesco and Sainsburys if you want to get something to eat.
There are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the area.
Good for a place to chill out and chat.

Despite the presence of high-rise blocks and some mixed residential and commercial developments that might not look out of place in Canary Wharf Paddington Waterside with its moored barges and boats harks back to an earlier less hectic age. Some double up as cafes and restaurants. Others were today being cleaned and painted. The Basin now features some impressive bridges including the Rolling Bridge which folds over an inlet at its eastern end like multiple pieces of origami every Friday at 12.30 not to mention the Fan Bridge whose four parts are consecutively lifted hydraulically above the basin twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays.

This was our fourth extended stay in the inner London suburb of Paddington. Each time that we have stayed there, we have taken at least one walk along the Paddington Waterside.
Our most recent stay in Paddington saw us take a pleasant walk along the canal waterside from the rear of the London Paddington Railway Station to the area known as Little Venice.
As had been the case during our previous walks here, the canal was almost choked with thick green algae. However, if you ignored this, there is an abundance of interesting and pleasant scenery along both sides of the canal.
The buildings situated along the waterside vary from office buildings, to community centres, cafes, restaurants and older apartment style homes.
There are also a number of canal boats which moor along each side of the canal. Some of these are floating restaurants and bars but there are also some which are floating homes and have the right to moor temporarily at the canal side for a limited period.
The Paddington Waterside is certainly an ideal spot to take a stroll and escape from some of the hustle and bustle found elsewhere in Paddington.

We found this walkway and riverside complex by Paddington train station. We were looking for a taxi 🚕 bay by Paddington and found the quaint riverside rest stop.
There was a put on the boat which was full of drinkers. It was so nice walking around here.

Interesting business concept. Loads of pub benches lined up with different "food stalls" available to choose food from. Get your food from the food stalls by queuing up for a long time to order and then going back to get it when ready via the bleeper they give you. You are advised to make sure that every-ones orders food from the same food stall if there are a few of you otherwise ordering and getting the food becomes a mission. Food, had burgers and chips, were fine. Very informal and a long way to go and wait for a burger Good atmosphere though.

É uma região bastante ionteressante pois são dezenas de barcos ancorados no rio e são utilizados de várias maneiras desde moradias até cafés e restaurantes.

Came to this mainly to see the Fan Bridge, which is also listed on TripAdvisor and just decided to have a wander around the area. So it turns out this is part of the old Canal system that used to exist back in the days for transporting good, but has now been redeveloped into luxury apartments, modern buildings, trendy bars, cafes and restaurants. And of course boats, I didn't actually see that many on the day I visited. Maybe they were all at the Canalway Cavalcade in the nearby Little Venice.
