A beautiful day, a wonderful trip. Many years since I first travelled with you when we were residents in the area and before i had mobility issues. I was delighted by how much I was able to do with the kind help of crew and other passengers, The atmosphere was of very happy trippers who were interested in the workings of the canal and its craft. Blissfully gentle couple of hours in beautiful surroundings, Only one serious downside: I had to disembark! thank you so much owners and crew.

My WI group of 40 had a lovely peaceful day on the boat, towed along by the horse. Sandwiches and cake were excellent, as was the bar!

A wonderful gentle ride through a beautiful part of the country. The houseboat owner and all the staff took especial care for some of the visitors where they had difficulty walking or getting up and down steps.
Very enjoyable and would recommend.

Step away from hustle and bustle to a tranquil and beautiful journey. What a fabulous location. Kindly and helpful owner and staff. A journey through lovely country for a couple of hours in and old barge pulled by Drummer who was clearly a much cherished horse. Don’t expect luxury, this is a step back in time. Drinks and snacks were available and there’s a loo on board too.

A really lovely relaxing experience throughly enjoyed the trip it made my birthday very special would certainly recommend this and the staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for you.

This is a nice way to spend a relaxing 2 hours, but.....I didn't realise when I booked we were going to be with a barge full of people who all knew one and other, and just talked and talked and talked, they also kept walking around, that ment us visitors to the area sitting quietly on our bench seat could not really see anything, a little tip if you want to see what's going on in the water and the banks sit on the bench seats by the windows.
Tho other thing that was missing was a bit of a commentary. Just tell us a bit about our surroundings, there is a railway line that we could hear tell us a bit of history give us a few facts and figures re the canal we were on. Nothing to long but if nothing else it would stop the constant conversations of those eating their cake and drinking their coffee.
It's the sort of activity that we are very pleased we did, and thank you Drummer for pulling us on such a hot day, but I don't think we would do it again

We are a group of local Ramblers. After a local walk, 25 of us boarded the boat for a leisurely trip along the Kennet and Avon canal on a warm sunny June afternoon. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The crew were very friendly and efficient, negotiating the parked boats along the canal. At the turnaround, one of our party became unwell due to the heat but Steve, the crewman took charge and helped her back on the boat and made her comfortable for the return trip. Sue, the lady behind the bar was also kind and helpful.
We would thoroughly recommend this trip and are considering booking for next year.
Thanks to all the crew and Monty the horse for a lovely afternoon.

Coach party booking. Very good customer service from booking right through to experience on the day. A lovely trip for our elderly customers to enjoy whilst in the area. Reasonably priced and can buy drinks on board if needed. Thanks again and see you again when we are back in the area

A fantastic way to spend an afternoon taking in the beautiful local scenery, with every care taken by Steve, Charlotte and the crew to ensure the trip is full of interesting facts, a magical moment of silence to drink in the birdsong and clip clop of Monty/Drummer's hooves, and delicious tea and cake. A highly recommended way to spend time with family and friends with this wonderful local family run company.

We all had a fantastic time, it was so peaceful quietly gliding along the canal and seeing the beautiful horse , Drummer, slowly walking along tow path every now and then stopping to feast on a tasty snack he had spied on the way. The crew were friendly and good at their job we were made very welcome and learnt some interesting facts. We chose to have the cream tea while on board, this was excellent, although trying to put jam and cream on the scone while holding a drink on your lap did prove a little taxing, the quality of the products made up for it. This is the way to travel, no motors, no noise just the gentle lap of the water and beautiful sight of a horse at work( well the crew did the heavy pulling getting the boat moving Drummer seemed as though he was out for a stroll )
