What a beautiful place this is. Stunning landscape for a trek, hike or leisurely walk. The views across the Surrey countryside are amazing at any time of the year but perhaps best when it’s the Autumn colours on display. Well worth spending a few hours immersed in nature.

Beautiful walk, the views are stunning. Definitely deserved more stars except for the off road bikers who seem to think it’s okay to disturb the peace and pollute the atmosphere. This is no place for them! What a shame.

I went to the café after walking from Haslemere across Hindhead Common. The first Americano was good and strong and the Victioria sponge well made. The 2nd Americano was weak and watery. However... the customer service was...appalling! Most of the staff were milling around the serving area, and I mean 'milling'. No one seemed to be in charge. Customers had to clear tables themselves from previous usage and wipe tables down themselves! There were no staff doing any of this that I could see. When I ordered my 2nd Americano she gave me the cup/saucer on a tray... I am 69 and walk with a stick... it took a kindly customer to offer to take my coffee over to where I sat. Staff couldn't be bothered/weren't interested. Chaos. I go to Costa Haslemere twice a week and their service is both friendly and superb! They ought to take over this NT café and show them a thing or two about customer service! Abs NOT impressed...

not enough poo bins in walking areas. nearly run down by bikers on the far side. What ever you do don't order the sausage rolls which are offered in a plastic disposable trays and tasted like stuffing under cooked my wife had a chi lathi but it was mostly cinnamon over sweetened. both our dogs were sick in the car after eating something under the table,

Beautiful long walks with amazing views. Great to take photos with friends and dog friendly. Only downside is that there was no vegan options in the cafe.

Great place for walks and views, National trust cafe good facilities but ridiculously overpriced. £4.25 for a piece of cake. Seriously NT you are ripping people off.

Easy parking at the Devil's Punch Bowl car park - there is a small fee for parking but goes to National Trust.
Take the Hidden Hindhead Trail (pink signs). Amazing views from Surrey's 2nd highest point. Wonderful views over the Devil's Punchbowl and the Surrey Hills.
We saw all the key attractions namely the cross on Gibbets Hill, the sailors stone and the stone floor of the Temple of the Four Winds.
The path is steep in places and you need hard soled shoes. In the wet wellies would be useful. The walk takes about 2 hours but the variations are wonderful. Woodland, heather heath and lakes - best walk in Surrey! The view from Gibbetts Hill is amazing! Enjoy.

Great national trust area.
Parking is via the pay by phone app and is fairly reasonable price for national trust
Lots of different trails for different fitness levels
Beautiful views
Nice cafe with clean toilets
Lots of picnic benches if you want to bring your own food!

HI, I'm sorry no, there are no beaches anywhere near The Devil's Punchbowl. The nearest beach would be at Southsea (pebbles) or Hayling Island (several beaches, some sandy, some pebbly) or West Wittering - sandy. At the moment all beaches are closed for anything other than walking, due to Coronavirus.

Sorry about the delay but I was locked out of tripadvisor! Yes, across the road there is a kiosk and playground... huge area. Depends how old they are but there is a lovely area with a cafe etc.

It is free, but there is a car parking fee, but free for National Trust members.

Are there any dog friendly pubs serving food?

Opposite the hotel/pub there is a National Trust Cade/restaurant with outside seating. Realise this is only appropriate if weather is fine but we did see people sitting outside with children and animals. Maybe give them a ring and check if they are still ok with animals.
