Riding horses by the sea felt like a dream come true. It's a unique experience beyond words. Galloping along the shoreline was nothing short of amazing, creating a perfect blend of nature, freedom, and breathtaking beauty. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team for an excellently planned and executed experience. You managed to provide me with magical and unforgettable moments. First time riding a horse, i rode Jacky, she was amazing and the sunset ride was absolutely beatiful. The food was great too. The reasons I scored it a 4 were because our food was served at different times so 3 had eaten by the time my food came out, and the transfer failed to arrive for our return to the hotel, however Andreas did give us a lift which compensated.
All round a good experience and I would definitely do it again

Such a wonderful experience! The farm is beautiful and the horses are being taken well care of. I went alone to ride and swim with horses in the sunset. We were a small group of experienced riders and it was worth every cent!
I rode Jackie and we are now best friends, we are equally weird. She has a fun personality!
I was picked up at my hotel and talked with the driver the whole way, as he was just as crazy about horses as I am!
The leader of the group also took pictures which I am so thrilled about!
Would recommend this for everyone visiting Kos!

Excellent facilities , special memories. All animals well cared for and staff lovely. Picked up from hotel and returned by lovely gentleman . Would highly recommend and will make sure I booked again when back on Kos.

I visited Erika's Horse Farm Kos with my daughter 2 times in July. One trip was the sunset tour for the trained. The second time the sunrise tour for trained. If you are looking for a place where they treat the horses well and where you want a good nature experience, then Erikas is the place. There is good energy when you arrive in the cafe area. You have to be patient because there are always many visitors. But then you can properly get something to drink and eat in the cafe. As a person, Erika is very dedicated to everyone having a good experience, so it is important that you be honest with your riding skills. There is speed when you take the trip for trained, but it is mega cool if you like it. My daughter loved that Erika said, "hold your seatbealt" or something like that, and then galoped. We loved swimming with the horses, which for good reasons had it very hot. The place gets my warmest Recommendation. Have now visited the place 4 times.

Great!
Family business, very friendly and helpful people, very clean stable and well maintained animals. The accompanists took the time to clearly define which horse for which person.
Beautiful tour to the beach, fabulous scenery.

A terrible experience BE WARNED- My wife fell of her horse when it took off down the beach, she has fractured 3 of her vertebrae.
This happened because the actual riding experience is not safe.
I am a very experienced rider so when the group was gathered together and asked who would like to go on the fast ride or slow ride, I was the only one who put my hand up for the fast ride. As I was with my wife (on honeymoon!) they suggested we go on the fast ride and see how we get on. I stupidly took this as thinking they would take care and see what was suitable.
We started with a short walk, which was fine, although i did notice that none of the staff wore riding hats, not a good sign if someone cannot take care of their own safety never mind the other riders. I also noticed that there was no adjustment of stirrup length for any of the riders, in either the slow or fast group and could see many of the riders with inappropriate riding positions. After a short walk we were then encouraged to try a short trot, but the staff member was at the front of the ride and at no point did she look back to see if we were ok. My wife was put at the back of the ride, which on reflection was a bad idea , as she was the most inexperienced rider , she should have been in the middle. The staff member then proceeded to make some phone calls whilst riding , before I knew it we were cantering and clearly the horses knew the route well as I needed to gather up my reins when I sensed a change in the horses body language. As soon as we reached the beach we were off! I managed to stay in control of my horse as I could sense it wanted to pull ahead and race the other 2 (as is their nature) but my wife wasn't able to hold her one who was clearly determined not to be at the back. She lost her seat and as it reached the front she tried to pull it back but only succeeded in turning it sharply, Suffice to say she came off and landed heavily on the beach (thank god it was on the beach, any harder surface and she would not have been walking today).
The staff member barely reacted , I was the first to stop , dismount and deal with the situation. She didn't know what to do and clearly had no training in how to handle the situation, I think due to shock more than anything we ended up getting back on the horse and walking back. At no point did any senior member of staff come and see us and no one has contacted us since, the accident was clearly not recorded.
Erika - you need to review your practices and procedures and train your staff, the safety of your customers must come first, having ridden horses for over 20 years I can safely say I have never been to a riding experience where the safety has been so poor, getting people to sign a disclaimer doesn't waive your responsibility. Please see the attached doctors report.

I have been doing this job and running this business for over 15 years.
You mention that there is a lack of safety procedure, and I would like to point out some facts on this matter.
When a guest calls himself an experienced rider and tells us that he/she… can control a horse in an open area such as the beach, they need to truly have the full control of the horse on the ride.
Most people that come here lie about their experience only because they want to have the opportunity to swim with the horses.
When we choose horses to give out to our guests, we double check that they get horses according to their riding experience.
That’s why in the beginner’s group we have so many guides walking beside every horse and in the experienced group we have 1 leader and when there are too many experienced riders, we have 2 leaders (1 in the front and 1 at the end) so they can pay attention to all the riders.
While you were at the front desk, checking in, you made it clear that you didn’t want to go in the beginner’s group because that was too boring, and you tried to make your wife join you in the fast group, even though she was insisting that she wont be able to handle the speed and the horse because she hadn’t been on a horse for years. There were so many witnesses that heard you saying that she will be fine. We tried to tell you that it will be very dangerous and she cannot attend the experienced group. So from us it was a NO!
After begging your guide repeatedly to take your girlfriend on the fast group with you, (have to mention here that there was no other experienced rider in the morning ride and all were going slow), she agreed to take the two of you only and go for a more “private ride” where it would only be you two and your guide. Before you left the desk we made it clear that you take full responsibility, you agreed and signed the waiver.
All safety precautions and measurements were taken as per every ride before any horse leaves the stables prior the ride. From your horse’s belt, your rains, your saddle, to your stirrups. And as I already mentioned above, there was no fast group that day so here we have another lie of yours about the stirrups.
As soon as you reached the beach and after a small trot, you wanted to go faster because this was not enough. The result in that, is you being in front, the other horses started following yours (they are not robots, they are animals) and clearly as we had predicted your wife was not experienced for something like this.
We completely understand that by claiming and pointing out things your insurance will give you back money, but it is too unfair to accuse other people’s businesses, especially when they treated you so nicely.
It is very sad to read all this especially from you. All of the staff was asking your wife if she was ok and if she needed anything and she kept on saying that she is fine. She also told Margarita (my daughter) that only her bum was hurting after the fall and you hopped back on the horse and continued the ride.
When you were asked by my colleagues about your experience, you were both smiling and saying she fell from the horse but she is ok and things like this can happen. You also asked for your pictures taken by your guide to remember this lovely day.
So how come it turned out to be a horror ride ?

The most wonderful place. Fantastic family run business who are so friendly and welcoming with fantastic horses and staff. Very safe and well run for children and adults. Great horse riding trip for a family of 10 and a lovely petting zoo and restaurant with great wings. A special mention to Erika’s father pappou who was such a nice friendly welcoming guy - he really made our trip extra special and is a credit to the business and family. 5 star 🌟

Together with a friend I took part in the morning drive on the beach. It was a great experience and the horses are very well looked after and the ride itself was very very nice. The booking went smoothly. Transportation was also provided which was very convenient.
Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a nice ride on the beach and want to swim with a horse.🐎🌊😍☀️

Hallo,unsere Enkeltochter,4 Jahre ist das erste mal mit uns in Urlaub und würde sehr gerne einmal reiten. Wir haben keinerlei Erfahrung mit Pferden.ist das ab diesem Alter schon möglich ,was kostet das den in etwa und muss man vorher buchen????

From 4 years old its ok for children to go on a ride at the beach or just a pony ride in the farm, 3year old can go with their parent on the same horse for a beach ride..

wie groß sind die Gruppen denn jeweils? Ist es auch möglich, dass ich (reite 1 mal die Woche freizeitmäßig im Gelände) und mein Freund (absoluter Anfänger) gemeinsam in einer Gruppe reiten?

Unsere Gruppe waren ca. 12 Leute. Geführte und ungeführte. Die Reiter alleine sind dann auch ins Wasser gegangen, die Anfänger wurden weiterhin geführt. Das sehen die Verantwortlichen sehr entspannt. Da reiten Erfahrene auch mit totalen Anfängern. Kein Problem !!!!
